÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

Returning students and faculty as well as visitors arriving on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) campus noticed a change in the "landscape" this fall.

The turf is down and the lights have been put in place as work continues on the new on-campus athletic complex at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cornerback John Chisolm (Trenton, NJ) has been named the Northeast Football Conference defensive player of the week.  Chisolm intercepted four passes in the Pioneers season opening 22-21 loss at Stevens Tech.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team couldn't get the offense going as they fell in both games at the SUNY Delhi Tournament over the weekend.  The Blue and Gold, 0-2-1 on the year, fell 6-0 to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday and 2-1 on Sunday versus SUNY Delhi.

Stevens Tech running back Benaly Ortega scored on a rush around the left side in the final seconds as the Fighting Bulldogs came from behind to down ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State 22-21 in an emotional season opener for both teams.  Ortega scored with three seconds remaining and the Bulldogs were able to hold the Pioneers from scoring on the ensuing kick-off to hold on for the win.

This was a familiar sight on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus recently as parents helped students move all the comforts of home (and then some) to residence halls for the new school year.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College faculty and staff welcomed this year's incoming freshmen during the 14^th annual New Student Convocation.

Members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College community were all smiles recently as they celebrated the "grand re-opening" of the Engineering Technology Building following a seven-year, $17 million rehab project.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College hosted an open house for the local community at the new townhouse-style residence halls before students moved in to begin the new academic year.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Tompkins Cortland CC battled to a 1-1 tie at the Mullen Hill Field in ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ in the season opener for both teams.
