Reynolds Wins National Championship, Gross finishes 4th

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Dan Reynolds won the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University.  Freshman David Gross (Brockport) also scored points for the Pioneers with a 4th place finish in the shot put.

artists, originally from Germany; Northfield, IL; Lower Merion, PA; Bala
Cynwyd, PA; Arkport; Charlotte, NC; Tennessee, Ohio, and other areas of the United
States, who have converged in the Southern Tier and call it home.

ASC Drama Club to Present Picasso at the Lapin Agile

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's student drama club will present
the play Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by Steve Martin, Friday,
April 3, at 7 p.m. (a dinner performance at the Lake Lodge), Saturday, April 4,
at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 5, at 2:30 p.m. at the Orvis Activities Center
Auditorium.  Admission to the play is $3 for ASC and AU students and
senior citizens; $5 for the general public.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team sits in 7th place after the first two days of competition at the NJCAA National Championships.  The Pioneers picked up 72 points after the first two days.

Foley, Brannen, and Wilson Named All-Region

Dan Foley (Irondequoit), Travis Brannen (Elmira Free), and Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) were recently named to the All-Region III Division II team.  The trio helped the Pioneers to a 17-14 mark and a trip to the regional final four.

Brooks Named Player of the Year

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III Division II Player of the Year.  Her teammate and cousin Sherelle Brooks (Elmira Free) was also honored with a honorable All-Region selection.  Brittney Brooks becomes the second straight Lady Pioneer to earn the player of the year honor (Anthia Smith - 2008).

CPC,  PCS, SUNY (State University of New York) Distinguished Teaching
Professor, Physical and Life Sciences Department, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, was
named among the Top 10 in HIM (health information management), as published in
the Advance for Health Information Professionals newsmagazine.

Six Indoor Tracksters Earn All-Region Honors

Six members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College indoor track and field team have earned All-Region honors based on winning their events at the Region III Championships.  The men's team won the program's third straight indoor championship while the women finished third.

Homecoming/Family Weekend 2008 was such a success with the addition of
the new ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College athletic complex, the Alumni Association
Board has decided to join the festivities and incorporate activities
from Bake at the Lake during Homecoming/Family Weekend 2009.

Four Swimmers Earn All-Region
