The employment and transfer figures are based on an annual survey sent to all ASC graduates; 2010's questionnaire netted a 73 percent response rate from surveyed graduates.

Mathematics and Physics Department, ��Ӱֱ�� State College, has been selected to participate in the annual reading and scoring of the College Board’s Advanced Placement Examinations in June.  He will be reading the calculus exams for the ninth consecutive year.

“Our Campus Partner Program is important because it’s a win for everyone. The students love the flexibility it provides, the partners gain a marketing advantage, and the community wins because of the added tax revenue from increased sales,” explained Stephen Schnorr, executive director for Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Services (ACES), the sponsor of the Campus Partner Program at ��Ӱֱ�� State.

A Mediterranean cruise in March is always a rare treat; this year at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, it was an award-winning event as well. The Dining Services team at ��Ӱֱ�� State College has won a Gold Award from the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) for a special event it hosted at the college in March.

��Ӱֱ�� State was admitted to the 2010 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for engaging its students, faculty, and staff in meaningful service that achieves measurable results in the community.

Seventeen engineering students attending New York State colleges and universities will receive $45,000 collectively in scholarship money from member firms of the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York). The awards are based on the students’ cumulative grade-point average, college activities, work experience and an essay on consulting engineering.

Fifteen members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College outdoor track & field team earned All-American honors at the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championships held at Pioneer Stadium.  All fifteen athletes earned 2nd team honors with 2nd place finishes in their respective events.

��Ӱֱ�� State College women's basketball player Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) has been selected to play in the 2011 NJCAA women's basketball coaches' assocation All-Star event at Pensacola State College.

��Ӱֱ�� State College sophomore softball players Angela Depew (Wellsville) and Amber Harding (Fillmore) have earned All-WNYAC honors.  Depew was a 1st team selection while Harding was named 2nd team.

��Ӱֱ�� State College sophomores JP Frey (Erie, PA) and Kevan Smith (Cicero North Syracuse) were both named 1st team All-Region selections this past weekend.  Frey and Smith helped the Pioneers to a 14-14 mark this spring.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College athletic department handed out the Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Academic awards recently at the college's annual end of year banquet.  Cody Dill (Unatego) and Angela Depew (Wellsville) were the recipients of the leadership award, Andy Jones (Milford) and Amber Harding (Fillmore) received the sportsmanship awards, and Alex Farrell (N. Tonawanda), Charise Nankivell (Hornell), and Andrea Presher (Prattsburgh) won the academic awards.

Just as most college students are planning for some fun in the summer sun, 23 ��Ӱֱ�� State College students are heading for the tropics of Haiti to lend a hand (or 46) in the rebuilding of that island nation, more than a year after the devastating January 2010 earthquake.

Nearly 600 two- and four-year graduates, their families, professors, and friends were on hand Sunday, May 15, as ��Ӱֱ�� State College honored its 100^th graduating class. Presiding over the ceremony, which was held at McLane Center on neighboring ��Ӱֱ�� University’s campus, was Dr. John M. Anderson, college president.

One of the fixtures of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College athletic department for the past 30 years has been Kathy Feldman.  This winter, Feldman announced her retirement and served her last day at the college on May 13.

Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) and Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) were named the 2011 ��Ӱֱ�� State College freshman athletes of the year.  Murphy ran to All-American honors in track & field while Johnson punted his way to All-American on the football gridiron.

Mo Parks (Avoca) and JP Frey (Erie, PA) have been named the 2011 ��Ӱֱ�� State College senior athletes of the year.  Parks was a two-year member of the soccer and track & field teams while Frey has been a mainstay on the baseball team the past two years.

Jennifer Forsberg, Jamestown, a technology management major at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, has been named the 2010-11 ��Ӱֱ�� State College Student Employee of the Year. Forsberg works in the Annual Giving Office and was nominated by her supervisor Danielle White, director of Annual Giving.

This award is given to outstanding students in the masonry curriculum. This year’s winners, Jermaine Helire, Auburn, and Brian Johnson, Black Creek, each received $500 checks.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College lacrosse team had four players honored by Region III and two players honored by the Western New York Athletic Conference.

Sophomore outfielder Angie Depew (Wellsville) has been named 2nd team All-Region following the Lady Pioneers 2011 campaign.  Depew was named All-WNYAC 1st team following her freshman year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College softball team closed out their season this weekend with doubleheader losses to Tompkins Cortland CC and Corning CC.  The Lady Pioneers finish the 2011 campaign with a 10-22 overall mark and a 7-15 record in Region III Division III play.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College outdoor track & field team completed the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championships with 4th place finishes.  The women scored 83.5 points while the men finished with 61.

Harper College (IL) claimed both the men's and women's titles at the 2011 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  The Harper women won by nearly 40 points while the men won by 23.

The Mohawk Valley CC women's team holds a one point lead while Harper College's men's team leads by 18 after the second day of the NJCAA Division III Track & Field at Pioneer Stadium.  The Pioneer men sit in 4th place while the women are in 8th.
