The #1 ranked ��Ӱֱ�� State College women's cross country team defended their home course as they raced to the top spot at the Region III Championships.  The Lady Pioneers scored 45 as they raced the 5k course full of deep mud and slick hills.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College volleyball team fell just short of advancing out of pool play at the Region III Division III Championships.  The Lady Pioneers were 1-2 on the day and finish the season 23-17.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College defense played tough as they defeated the Onondaga Ogres Football Club 38-0 in the snow on Saturday afternoon. The defense allowed just 104 total yards, recorded eight sacks, and forced four turnovers.

Instead of charging admission to their contest Saturday vs. the Onondaga Ogres Football Club, the ��Ӱֱ�� State College football team will collecting donations for the athletic department's "Dig Pink" campaign.  Donations will be collected at the front gate and will be added to the volleyball team's fundraising effort for the Side-Out Foundation.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College women's cross country team will head into Saturday's Region III Championship at ��Ӱֱ�� State as the #1 team in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers will face stiff competition at Regionals as they are joined in the top ten by four other Region III opponents.

Herkimer CCC scored two goals eight minutes apart midway through the 1st half as they defeated ��Ӱֱ�� State 2-1 in the Region III Division III B semifinals.  The Lady Pioneers finish the season with a 12-5 overall record.

��Ӱֱ�� State College will host a traveling art exhibit, “Always Lost: A Meditation on War,” Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, through the end of the semester, in the Hinkle Memorial Library gallery. Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 11 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 1 - 7 p.m., and Sunday 1 - 11 p.m. The show is open to the public free of charge.

��Ӱֱ�� State College Student Senate representatives recently presented a check to the Tutoring Services Department. Student Senate annually donates $6,000 to be used to hire peer tutors, student Math Lab proctors, and student Writing Center proctors.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College football team has added a home game for Saturday Oct. 29th versus the Onondaga Ogre Football Club.  Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.

His research focuses on attempts to restore the American chestnut to its former prominence. A member of the American Chestnut Tree Foundation, he may surprise his audience with some new artifacts from its most recent meeting.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College volleyball team will enter this weekend's Region III Division III Tournament as the #6 seed.  The Lady Pioneers are currently 22-15 and accumulated a 11-6 mark in Region III Division III contests

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College volleyball team entered the Western New York Athletic Conference tournament as the #5 seed and finished the day 1-1.  The Lady Pioneers are now 22-15 on the year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College women's soccer team got the offense going as they defeated Erie CC 7-0 to advance in the Region III Division III Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers, the #6 seed, will travel to #3 Herkimer CCC on Tuesday for a 2nd round contest.

#5 Onondaga CC downed #12 ��Ӱֱ�� State College 5-0 in a Region III Division III Tournament 1st Round contest.  The Pioneers finish the season 5-9-1 while the Lazers move on to the 2nd round to take on #4 Tompkins Cortland CC.

��Ӱֱ�� State and Wright State Club struggled to put points on the boards but the Raiders defense put together a goal line stand in the final minutes of the game to perserve a 11-7 victory.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College women's soccer team has earned the #6 ranking in the Region III Division III Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers will host #11 Erie CC in a 1st Round match-up on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College men's soccer team has qualified for the 2011 Region III Division III Tournament as the #12 seed.  The Pioneers will travel to #5 Onondaga CC for a first round contest on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 5-0 loss to NJCAA Division I opponent Monroe CC.  The Pioneers close out the regular season with a 5-8-1 mark (4-7-1 Region III Division III).

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College women's soccer team moved up one spot in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  After three weeks in the #8 spot, the Lady Pioneers are now #7 as they head into the postseason.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College cross country team moved back to the top spot of the latest NJCAA DIII poll after falling to #3 in last week's poll.  The Lady Pioneers have been at the top of the poll or tied for the top three of the past four weeks.

Donations from the Lock-Up will support local families and guarantee that MDA can continue its mission to find treatments and cures, as well as provide vital services.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College volleyball team gave #8 Erie CC all they could handle in set one but could not solve the Lady Kats, 25-27, 13-25, 20-25.  ASC wraps up the regular season with a 21-14 record.

Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) and Anthony Turner (Syracuse/Corcoran) have been named the ASC Athletes of the Week by the SID office.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College volleyball team won two of their three matches at the Monroe CC Pod on Saturday.  They defeated Corning CC 25-14, 25-17, 25-17, fell to Broome CC 25-13, 17-25, 18-25, 19-25, and downed Tompkins Cortland CC 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

In their final race before the Region III Championships, ��Ӱֱ�� State competed at the annual University of Rochester Invitational.  The women were the top NJCAA team finisher and 12th overall while the men finished 16th.

Rasheed Williams rushed for 263 yards and two scores as Louisburg College defeated ��Ӱֱ�� State in the rain and wind 23-0 on Saturday.  The Hurricanes are now 6-1 on the year while the Pioneers fall to 3-3.
