The 魅影直播 State College men's basketball team downed Finger Lakes CC 62-54 as they took the court for the first time in ten days. The Pioneers are now 5-5 on the year.

Pioneer Woodsmen鈥檚 Team Receives Sponsorship from STIHL

After working closely with local STIHL dealer, Auto Specialized in Arkport, the Pioneer Woodsmen鈥檚 Club received the sponsorship and a check for $2,500 from STIHL. STIHL is well-known for its nationwide support of professional and collegiate timber sports. The Pioneer Woodsmen look forward to representing 魅影直播 State and STIHL with vigor!
ASC Funds New Scholarship with Aid from NYPGA

Two $3,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2011-12 academic year to help provide more qualified, well-trained technicians to meet the labor needs of the growing propane industry, particularly in upstate New York.

Pioneer Woodsmen's Club Wins Scrimmage

The Pioneer Woodsmen were invited to scrimmage with the Finger Lakes Woodsmen and were able to send two teams: a Men鈥檚 1 (equivalent of a varsity team) and a Men鈥檚 2 (equivalent of a junior varsity squad). Pioneer Woodsmen teams competed against three Finger Lakes teams and took first and second places overall!

This event began as an opportunity for international students to share part of their culture through the medium of food. The evening diners were delighted to try food from China, Japan, France, Trinidad Tobago, Brazil, Russia, and Puerto Rico.
Culinary Arts Holiday Buffet Dec. 1

Students enrolled in the culinary arts programs at the School of Applied Technology of 魅影直播 State College will prepare a holiday buffet on Thursday, Dec. 1, from 5-7 p.m. in the student dining hall of the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus. Cost is $16 (all inclusive) per person. Children under 10 can eat for $7. Proceeds benefit the Top Hat Scholarship Fund.

The 魅影直播 State College women's basketball team could never recover from a big run in the 1st half as they fell 72-60 to Hagerstown CC in the opening day of the ASC Tournament. Hagerstown used a 12-0 run midway through the 1st half to grab the lead and never looked back.

The 魅影直播 State College men's swimming team improved to 4-0 in WNYAC action with victories over Mercyhurst North East, 73-9, and Erie CC, 78-0, on Wednesday evening. In women's action, ASC defeated MNE 26-15 but fell 25-24 to ECC.

Football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) has been named the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week following the Pioneers 26-20 victory over Erie CC on Saturday. Johnson is the second Pioneer player to be honored by NJCAA this season.

Holli Pierce (Livonia), Jenna Lynn (York), Maura Tuffey (Albany/The Academy of the Holy Names), and Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) were 1st team selections while Lacee Pearl (Olean) and Danielle Henry (Arkport) were 2nd team.

魅影直播 State College sophomore football player Anthony Turner (Syracuse/Corcoran) has been named the Region III Athlete of the Week. Turner led the Pioneers defense as they defeated Erie CC 26-20 to claim the Region III Championship.

The 魅影直播 State College football team claimed the Region III Championship for the 1st time in school history with a 26-20 victory over Erie CC in Orchard Park. The Pioneers withstood a late 4th quarter rally by the Kats and finish the 2011 season with a 6-4 record.
