��Ӱֱ�� State’s Craig Clark, executive director of the Wellsville campus and dean of the School of Applied Technology and William Dean, professor of Architecture and Design, have been named as Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Teaching Fellows.

��Ӱֱ�� State President Dr. John M. Anderson has announced that he will be leaving the college effective March 31 to assume the presidency of Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

��Ӱֱ�� State Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology Department students hosted an open house last week to unveil two electric maintenance vehicles that they restored and enhanced with sophisticated performance monitoring features.

��Ӱֱ�� State baseball coach Jason Cronin and the rest of the coaching staff will host a Prospect Camp on Sunday, Jan. 27th at the Orvis Activities Center. The camp will allow high school players to showcase their skills in front of the Pioneer coaching staff.  Each participant will receive an evaluation of their skills from the coaching staff.

WINS member Carley Youngman of Spencerport, a junior in architectural technology and construction management engineering technology, helped collect a total of $194 for breast cancer research.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s WINS Club (Women in Non-traditional Studies) held its “Women in the Field” dinner on campus this month which was attended by 26 WINS members and special guests.

Three ��Ӱֱ�� State students have been awarded cash prizes for architectural sketches they produced while participating in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s study abroad program in Sorrento, Italy earlier this year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State swimming team wrapped up the 2012 portion of their season with a 3rd place showing at the Jamestown CC Invitational. Only the men's team competed and scored 155 points on the day.

Deschamps is a junior studying architectural technology at ��Ӱֱ�� State. He was selected for the scholarship out of more than 2,600 applications and will receive $4,500 from the organization to participate in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s study abroad program in Sorrento, Italy in January.

��Ӱֱ�� State student Kodie Tompkins is one of three area students who have been awarded a total of $6,000 in scholarship funds from the Rochester chapter of the American Institute of Architecture (AIA) and the Architectural Foundation of Greater Rochester.

Fueled by three forfeit victories in the first five matches, Mercyhurst North East jumped to a 25-0 lead en route to a 37-16 WNYAC dual meet victory over ��Ӱֱ�� State.  The Pioneers finish the 2012 portion of their season with a 1-3 overall mark and a 1-2 WNYAC record.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State website was recently awarded a gold medal for creative design in the MarCom Awards 2012 competition and a silver medal for creative design by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (Davey Awards).

��Ӱֱ�� State announces the following accomplishments achieved by faculty and staff this semester:

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's basketball team held a 53-49 lead with 47 seconds left but St. John Fisher JV scored the final five points to steal a 54-53 win.  The Pioneers close out 2012 with a 4-6 record.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team could not regroup after a tough loss on Saturday and fell 67-48 to Ithaca College JV in the consolation game of the Onondaga CC Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers end the 2012 portion of their season with a 8-4 mark.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team was tripped up in overtime, 57-54, by Sullivan County CC in the opening round of the Onondaga CC Classic.  The Lady Pioneers are now 8-3 on the year and will take on Ithaca College JV at 11:45 a.m. in the tournament consolation game.

��Ӱֱ�� State sophomore forward Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) has been named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Week. Witchella leads the 8-2 Lady Pioneers in scoring and rebounding.

Niagara CCC defeated ��Ӱֱ�� State 50-0 in a WNYAC dual on Wednesday evening. The win improves Niagara to 3-0 in the WNYAC while the Pioneers are 1-2 overall and 1-1 in WNYAC play.

��Ӱֱ�� State will be hosting a bone marrow drive on Monday, Dec. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Gathering Place located in the Central Dining Hall on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus. The event is open to the public.

��Ӱֱ�� State freshmen soccer players Kali Muhleisen (��Ӱֱ�� Almond) and Hannah Holmok (��Ӱֱ�� Almond) have been named to the NJCAA Division III All-American team. Muhleisen was a 1st team selection while Holmok was named to the second team.

Wednesday's (12/5) swim meet between ��Ӱֱ�� State and Monroe CC has been cancelled and will not be made up. The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, December 15th at the Jamestown CC Invitational.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team defeated Ithaca College JV 67-61 to earn their 3rd straight victory and improve to 8-2 on the year.

Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) and Conner Fox (Midlakes) have been named the ��Ӱֱ�� State athletes of the week.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State swimming team finished up competition at the three-day Monroe CC Invitational. The men's team finished 5th with 202 points while the women finished 7th with 62 points.

The SUNY Delhi men's basketball team used a strong 2nd half to open up a close game en route to a 58-46 victory over ��Ӱֱ�� State on Sunday afternoon.  #2 ranked Delhi improves to 10-0 on the year while the Pioneers are now 4-5.

Conner Fox (Midlakes) finished 4th in the 174 lb. weight class as ��Ӱֱ�� State competed at the Thunderwolves Open at Niagara CCC.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team is in 5th place while the women's team is in 7th after two days of competition at the Monroe CC Winter Invitational. The men have 126 points while the women have 38.
