The 14^th Annual ��Ӱֱ�� State Regional Science and Technology Fair will be held concurrently on Friday, April 12, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center gymnasium on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.

��Ӱֱ�� State will be hosting “Project Prom Dress” on Saturday, April 20 in the Pioneer Lounge, Pioneer Center, on the ��Ӱֱ�� State campus from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This event is for high school girls in the area who need a formal dress for prom season. Guests are welcome to come and ‘shop’ for a donated dress and leave with one of their choice at no cost to them.

The forum will be held at 6:30 p.m. in Room 215 of the Engineering Technology Building and is open to the public. A reception will be held at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the Engineering Technology Building.

��Ӱֱ�� State is hosting Human Services Awareness Day on Thursday, April 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Allegany Room of Central Dining Hall on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in Lot No. 8 on the ��Ӱֱ�� State campus.

A team of four ��Ӱֱ�� State sport management students has been selected by the College Sport Research Institution (CSRI) to compete in the 2013 Undergraduate Student Case Study Competition in Chapel Hill, NC, on April 17.

Approximately 900 students from Region I BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education and Services) districts encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier, competed in the 24th Annual SkillsUSA Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics March 5 at ��Ӱֱ�� State.

��Ӱֱ�� State has been named to the 2013 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, one of the highest honors a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning, and civic engagement.

Dr. Marty Schmidt, VP and Director of Environmental Remediation in Cleveland, OH, will be the guest speaker at the New Horizon’s Forum on Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

��Ӱֱ�� State announces the following faculty and staff accomplishments:

Green transcribed Gerling’s oral account using the state-of-the art tools of court reporting professionals. The account was simultaneously transcribed and videotaped while Gerling was interviewed by his daughter, Professor Sandra Gerling-Yelle (Business Department).

The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park (James Street Park). Participating teams represent local police and fire personnel, college students, and fraternal organizations.
