“Votes were tabulated on Facebook with each person allowed one vote per day. This year we had eight colleges enter the contest to vie for a free membership. After five days of voting, in a last minute dash to the finish line, ��Ӱֱ�� State prevailed as the winner of the 2014 Best Admission Staff Photo Contest.

“It’s important for our overseas military to know people are thinking of them and care about the work they are doing,” Emily said. “These gifts are just a small ‘thank you’ for all they do for us.”

The students are asking members of the community to support their project by donating materials—anything from old or torn down shacks to chicken coops to extra wood or materials already slated for the recycle pile.

��Ӱֱ�� State has earned three Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) accreditations for one course and two master trainers in photovoltaic and small wind installation.

The 15^th Annual ��Ӱֱ�� State Regional Science and Technology Fair will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center gymnasium on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus. The fair is open to students attending classes in grades four through 12 at private and public schools (or homeschools) located anywhere within Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania.

Approximately 900 students from Region I Board of Cooperative Education and Services (BOCES) districts, encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier, competed in the 25th Annual SkillsUSA Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics March 4, 2014, at ��Ӱֱ�� State.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s School of Applied Technology, Wellsville, will host the 16th Annual New York State Postsecondary (college level) SkillsUSA competition on Sat., March 29, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
