Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor emeritus of psychology at ��Ӱֱ�� State, is the author of a story appearing in a new book for sports fans titled “All American Sports Stories” (Airship 27, 2016).

SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor and longtime member of ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Business Department Jim Grillo met March 24 with members of the college’s Honors Program to share some of his experiences in the Vietnam War.

Dr. Skip Sullivan, president of ��Ӱֱ�� State, said, “We are excited to add diagnostic medical sonography to our health-care related academic offerings, particularly given the projected job growth of this field in the coming years."

All police officers and campus public safety officers from ��Ӱֱ�� State’s University Police Department recently attended an eight-hour class on fair and impartial policing in Geneseo.

The forensic science technology program has recently obtained full accreditation status from the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC), becoming one of only 20 FEPAC-accredited bachelor-level programs within the field nationwide.

Hockenberry’s appointment will begin on April 1 to champion efforts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion on the college campus.

“I’m thrilled that our students at ��Ӱֱ�� State have helped people around the world monitor the birds and to witness as a new eaglet emerges,” stated Jeff Stevens, assistant professor of Electrical Trades.

Specifically, the Health and Wellness Services Department was recognized for an exciting new space in the Student Leadership Center, known as “The Oasis.” This area includes an inviting lounge where weekly events are held, and a MindSpa equipped with massage chairs, aromatherapy, an extensive audio library, an oxygen bar, and more.

Jon Pardi, Josh Thompson, and Frank Foster will each take the stage April 23 at Pioneer Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m., with the show to begin at 7 p.m.

The event will include a training session for law enforcement from 8:30-10 a.m., and another session for community and human service organizations from 1-2:30 p.m. Attendees must preregister by April 15 by emailing ccet@alfredstate.edu or by calling 607-587-4015.

A total of 22 sport management students were able to meet with more than 20 sports teams and organizations earlier this month at the Binghamton Senators Sports Marketing Career Fair.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Automotive Trades Department was able to get some terrific exposure recently at the 38th annual Motorama, held Feb. 20-21 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

More than 900 high school students from Region I Board of Cooperative Education and Services (BOCES) districts, encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier, competed in the 27th annual SkillsUSA Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics.

Members of the Honors Program met at the college greenhouse to learn about food production and growing practices in Western New York.

Zachary Herrington, an ��Ӱֱ�� State mechanical engineering technology major from Horseheads, assists Hornell High School students Feb. 26 with a National Engineers Week design challenge.
