Six ��Ӱֱ�� State College business students recently learned how to help clients improve their understanding of Medicare, and also networked with professionals in the field during a trip to Rochester.

A number of online resources rank ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) highly when it comes to affordability and student life, two factors that are crucial for students trying to decide which college is right for them. For affordability, multiple databases show ASC No. 3 in the state. Other sites rank the college highly for other attributes important to students such as an award for being No. 5 in the state for best campus food.

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) has announced that upgrades to the restrooms within ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Robinson/Champlin (RC) and Getman residence halls are now finished.

Hundreds of local elementary students had a great time learning about agriculture and animals recently as ��Ӱֱ�� State College once again hosted Kiddie Ag Day.

��Ӱֱ�� State College is once again taking a leadership role in a national initiative that focuses on civic learning and democratic engagement.

These days, 2012 autobody repair graduate Logan Wannall is living out his childhood dream of running his own autobody shop.

Stephen Crouch, an officer with the University Police Department at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, recently graduated from the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy’s Basic Course for Police.

In addition to becoming immersed in cutting-edge sport management research while creating a review of literature, the senior capstone class is designed for ��Ӱֱ�� State sport management to work closely with a local sport organization to address problems and concerns through research-based recommendations and solutions.

For two weeks, Stevens trained installers in Abuja, Nigeria on photovoltaic systems. Though the original plan was to train 20 people, the project was expanded, and a total of 53 participants were trained.

The Educational Foundation of ��Ӱֱ��, Inc., a private foundation representing faculty, staff, and friends of ��Ӱֱ�� State, has welcomed a new board member, Kathy Markel, of Arkport.

Richardson brings with him more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, having served as a police officer for the city of Hornell, the village of North Hornell, the village of Andover, and the village of ��Ӱֱ��. He also served as chief of the village of ��Ӱֱ�� police and is a retired criminal justice instructor who taught at the Greater Southern Tier BOCES Coopers Plains campus for 12 years.

The majority of the work on display, which spans from 1940 to 2015, will consist of Jeanne’s watercolors. Also included will be a variety of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and ceramics.

Thirteen building trades students, along with their instructor, Dan Drake, participated in a restoration project at The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum.

“Mittashane,” an animated video created by ��Ӱֱ�� State College students while studying abroad in Toyko, recently won “Best Animated Short” at the Western New York Film Arts and Music Event (FAME) held at Genesee Community College.

��Ӱֱ�� State College recently welcomed more than 40 new faculty and staff members.

“Dr. Katz brings with him an accomplished and distinguished academic background, as well as a passion for diversity and equity, and a career-centered approach to learning,” Dr. Kristin Poppo said. “Therefore, we believe he is an excellent fit as the head of the School of Arts and Sciences, and will have a great impact on our students and our college.”
