Before sending them home for Thanksgiving, SUNY will test all students for COVID-19 prior to campus departure. ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) has announced the dates for testing along with further updates to the academic calendar for the end of fall and start of spring semesters.

Around 80 ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) Pioneers came together online recently to share, listen, and learn during a virtual poetry reading held on Microsoft Teams.

Altogether, 315 one-on-one chats and 16 group chats took place during the event. The career fair also allowed registered employers access to ASC’s Fall 2020 Resume Book.

With an emphasis on hands-on, real-world learning, ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) students in the School of Applied Technology are well prepared for the jobs they want after only two years of study.

��Ӱֱ�� State College recently honored a couple of Pioneers and recognized its major contributors at an annual President’s Society Dinner at the ��Ӱֱ�� Lake Lodge. 

A group of ��Ӱֱ�� State alumni recently held a food drive at Diversion Brewing Co. in Chemung to help families dealing with food insecurity resulting from COVID-19.

The Educational Foundation of ��Ӱֱ��, Inc., a private foundation representing faculty, staff, and friends of ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC), recently welcomed Valerie Nixon and Dr. Ashley Shaloo as new board members.

Utilizing SUNY Upstate Medical University’s advancements in COVID-19 testing, ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) greatly increased the number of students and employees tested for COVID-19 in October. The college also added a new process for the testing of wastewater from residence halls as an early alert system. 

Held on Microsoft Teams, the Open Houses will take place on the following dates: Saturday, Oct. 24, Sunday, Nov. 8, and Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Benjamin is a retired president of the Three Rivers Development Corporation, a private-sector vehicle for economic development in the Finger Lakes Region, which he worked for from 1973 to 2015.

The Hornell-based healthcare facility recently donated several pieces of equipment to benefit ASC’s nursing, radiologic technology, and diagnostic medical sonography programs.

��Ӱֱ�� State's Student Code of Conduct has been updated to reflect and reinforce new Uniform Sanctions for those found in violation of COVID-19 codes.

Scott DuMond, an assistant professor in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Business Department, said, “Among the benefits of the competition is gaining real-world experience using financial software that is employed by professionals and fiduciaries in their field." 

With the guidance of Professor Mike Ronan, students gathered outdoors for a meeting, following safety protocols with masks and individual temperature checks of all attendees. 

“I pursued this course work for many reasons, perhaps most importantly being that I accept my responsibility of positively influencing the level of inclusion we strive for at ��Ӱֱ�� State,” Sammons said.

Reflecting on earning her CMA, Chase said, “I feel accomplished to finally have some recognition for all of my career experience in the field. I really enjoyed taking a deep dive into the academic portion of managerial accounting.”

��Ӱֱ�� State College’s own Stephen Richard and Courtney DeRusha are donating their expertise, time, and energy to a project involved the restoration of the Langdon/Clemens family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery.
