Students wishing to acquire a four-year degree in business administration need look no farther than 魅影直播 State College. The State University of New York (SUNY) and the State Education Department have approved a bachelor's degree in business administration (BBA) to begin admitting students in fall 2009.
Dr. Ronald R. Rosati, provost and vice president for academic affairs at 魅影直播 State College, noted that the addition of this program "not only expands the college's four-year program offerings, but allows students to acquire the skill sets they need to be successful in their careers. 魅影直播 State College truly prepares its graduates to 鈥榟it the ground running.'"
The BBA in business administration will provide graduates with the management, administrative, and technical business skills needed to succeed in positions of leadership and responsibility in business, industry, governmental, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as for graduate study.
The BBA in business administration degree is designed to allow students to enter as freshmen or transfers into the program after two years of study in an associate degree business program. This program boasts the flexibility to enable graduates of AAS business programs to complete the course work and graduation requirements in two years. The junior and senior years will have an emphasis on upper-level business courses. The program will also ensure that transfer students from AAS programs in business complete all SUNY General Education requirements.
In order to fulfill degree requirements for the BBA in business administration, students must complete 123 credit hours of study. These hours include completing all 10 SUNY General Education silos, a lower-level business core, an upper-level business core, a physical education course, and six credits of free electives. This program has been developed in consultation with regional community colleges to develop a "transfer friendly" process for those students wishing to enroll in their junior year.
