Exhibit at ASC Hinkle Memorial Library

Five area high school art teachers have been invited by the digital media and animation faculty of 魅影直播 State College to exhibit their diverse work in the Hinkle Memorial Library on the 魅影直播 State campus.  Represented are Wellsville High School and Genesee Valley Central School.  The show is woven together with color, form, and details of hand-made books, assemblages, two dimensional and three dimensional works.  Amanda Oglesbee and Mark Corwine of Wellsville High School have brought paintings, pottery, and prints.  Kristin Buchholz, Delaney DeMott, and Glenna Elder from Genesee Valley Central School share books, fabric sculptures, and intricate boxes.

Many of these artist teachers have ties extending throughout this region similar to the roads that connect the many towns of Allegany.  They continue to touch the lives of many of us through their art and their contact with the students of our schools.  There is much quiet beauty in Allegany that will continue no matter what the economic climate is.  Come share an enrichment of life through the viewing of their works.  Their work is on display now at the Hinkle Memorial Library and can be viewed during regular library hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-11 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday, 1-7 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-11 p.m.  There will be a reception on Thursday, April 23 from 5-7 p.m. to meet the artists.  It is a show that will delight the viewer.
