Anthony J. Perlino, front, far left, estimatics team manager for State Farm Insurance, recently visited the senior Assistant Professor Jim Gerbec, front, far right, and his students with a salvage vehicle, a 2004 Chevy Malibu, for the students to repair and sell. The vehicle, which had been deemed 鈥渢otaled鈥 by the company, is one of several that the company has donated to a variety of autobody programs, both high school and college, over the years. Himself a graduate of an autobody repair education, Perlino has an affinity for such programs, and his company supports these philanthropic endeavors. Pictured in addition to Perlino and Gerbec are students: front row, left to right: Tom Sievers, Mannsville; Frankie Fello, Wurtsboro; Dakota Bain, Lowville; David Miller, Elmira; Andrew Anderson, Syracuse; Casey Jones, Interlaken; and Jeffery Johnson, Fillmore. In the second row, left to right, students: Christian Repetto, Staten Island; Travis Haddon, Pike; Bruce Taylor, Westport; Logan Wannall, Groton; Mark Wolf, Watertown; and Mikel Seeley, Nichols.
