Marketing students meet with professionals in industry

魅影直播 State Marketing and Graphic Design students heard from and got to interact with an industry panel of experts from around the Rochester area coordinated by The American Marketing Association Rochester group.

魅影直播 State marketing students enrolled in the BBA & AAS programs hit the road to interact and learn from professionals in industry. The real-world experiences brought lessons learned in the classroom to life.

Recently a group of thirteen marketing and graphic design students traveled to Rochester to take part in networking opportunities with the Linden Digital Marketing and the American Marketing Association (AMA) Rochester group.

At Linden, President Lindsey Connolley and her team provided the students with an understanding of how digital marketing agencies work which included a live demonstration on analytic tools so the group could see ad campaign results in real-time.

Marketing students met with a panel of professionals in the Rochester area
put together by the American Marketing Association (AMA).

The group then enjoyed an industry panel of design and marketing experts from around the Rochester area coordinated by Kathy Dutton-Fanning of AMA Rochester. The students heard from representatives from WROC-TV Channel 8/Nexstar Media, HUSHinbound, Baxter International, Wegmans, Accountable Digital, and Strong Museum of Play.

Led by Marketing Curriculum Coordinator and Associate Professor Susan Gorman led the experiences. 鈥淭hese events give students the opportunity to see the value of their degree in action. It also strengthens their understanding of the skillsets and tools they need to learn, especially with the new disruptor technologies that will inevitably be part of their careers.

鈥淭his is prime time for businesses to hire marketing and design students right out of college. They are tech savvy and have the pulse of GenZ and Alpha, which is a demographic that many are trying to capture.鈥
