Tomorrow (11/6) members of the 魅影直播 State community will come together to raise funds for current and future Pioneers during the college鈥檚 annual Day of Giving. This year, the focus of the day is to Power the Pioneer Fund, one of the four pillars of the recently announced Unleashing Potential comprehensive campaign.
The Day of Giving event has been an annual tradition at 魅影直播 State since 2016. Each year the college, along with various clubs, organizations, and athletic teams ask alumni, friends, families, faculty and staff, and current students are asked to join in and support the cause.
With a focus on the Pioneer Fund, John Lewis, Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations, is excited to this year's event. "Supporting the Pioneer Fund allows the college to respond to the areas of greatest need, through scholarships, academic programs, student support, and opportunities that make an immediate difference in the lives of Pioneers. We are looking forward to another amazing day and are grateful for the support of so many."
Community members are invited to visit the Student Leadership Center (SLC) between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for free popcorn and cotton candy, a photo booth, yard games, and club and organization activities. Visitors are asked to sign the Donor Thank-You Board to celebrate the generosity that makes many of the college's scholarships and campus improvements possible.
In Wellsville, stop by the dining area during lunch to cheer on students as they play the Trivia Trike and sign the donor board.
At 3 p.m. students can participate in "Score to Win" at the Campus Store to earn discounts and win prizes. The Rock Wall will be open from 4 - 7 p.m. and the Rock Band will host an open practice starting at 5 p.m. in the HOPR in SLC.
Last year, Day of Giving raised $257,000 with over 250 donors participating.
