÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College is pleased to announce that Campus Public Safety Officer (CPSO) Jaime Howe was recently presented with a State University of New York (SUNY) Professional Service Award.

The project involves the efforts of students in numerous programs, including building trades: building construction; masonry; heavy equipment operations; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; and electrical construction and maintenance electrician.

An instructor in the Automotive Trades Department, Smith joined the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State faculty in 2015. In this position, he instructs freshman automotive students.

During the college’s Festa Italiana dinner, Turner donated $5,000 to the veterans group. In addition to Turner’s generosity, the Culinary Art Department’s fundraiser dinner, bake sale, and donation jar from that day raised roughly $4,000 for the organization.

Located on the School of Applied Technology campus in Wellsville, the PSU includes numerous recreation offerings, from ping pong and foosball tables to basketball and racquetball courts, as well as a Health and Wellness Center where students can receive medical treatment or be connected with counseling services. 

Looking to cultivate the 2018 Farm Bill, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Commissioner Richard Ball and several other officials visited ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State recently to speak with and gather feedback from constituents about the critical legislation. 

For all 14 of the degree programs now offered to new students at the School of Applied Technology, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) ranks among the top five schools in the nation. Graduates are able to launch their careers in the automotive, construction, manufacturing, and restaurant industries after two years of study.

SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Jim Grillo was honored with the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State President’s Medallion Saturday, Nov. 4, at the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Lake Lodge. 

The college is looking to raise $120,000 from more than 500 donors during its Day of Giving, set for Nov. 28. 

Zac Barbis, residence director and coordinator of Student Leadership, and Brittany Richards, coordinator of Student Activities, presented at the Mid-Atlantic Region Conference for the National Association of Campus Activities in Buffalo, and the College Student Personnel Association of New York State Annual Conference in Corning.
