��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) students Megan Delianne and Alec Harrigan have been awarded the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence (CASE).

��Ӱֱ�� State student Zavier Sosa (Bronx, NY) was one of 45 SUNY EOP students honored with the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

Tammy Brackett, professor and chair of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) Digital Media & Animation department, had one of her pieces featured in the Memorial Art Gallery’s 67th Rochester-Finger Lakes Exhibition.

��Ӱֱ�� State Associate Professor of Digital Media and Animation Jeremy Speed Schwartz recently received a pair of awards for his short film titled, “The Land of the 3-Drink Minimum.”

“Those skills that I learned 12 years ago, I still use today as the head of product at a startup,” Doty said. “I really can’t thank ��Ӱֱ�� State enough for giving me that education and opportunity to grow and find success.”

“We were very happy with the turnout,” Peavey said. “We were asked by the schools attending to offer this annually, so we may look to increase it in size next year.”

Course work in these majors will cover the breadth of interactive design from AAA (triple A) game titles to the interactions of application interfaces. Skills developed are applicable to the growing fields of user experience (UX) design, application design, web design, data visualization, and interactive entertainment.

Jeremy Speed Schwartz, an associate professor in the Digital Media and Animation Department, was part of a group of artists that recently received a Lumen Prize for Digital Art.

“Mittashane,” an animated video created by ��Ӱֱ�� State College students while studying abroad in Toyko, recently won “Best Animated Short” at the Western New York Film Arts and Music Event (FAME) held at Genesee Community College.

Over winter break, ��Ӱֱ�� State College students of digital media and animation (DMA), along with Associate Professor Jeremy Speed-Schwartz, explored art, cinema, and animation in Japan as part of the college’s Studio Tokyo program.
