Police Academy graduates 13, achieves 100 percent employment rate

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Police Academy is proud to announce that 13 recruits have graduated from the 2020 session. This year’s academy yielded a 100 percent employment rate, meaning that all of the graduates were hired by police departments.

Scott Richardson named session director of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Police Academy

Richardson brings with him more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, having served as a police officer for the city of Hornell, the village of North Hornell, the village of Andover, and the village of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥. He also served as chief of the village of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ police and is a retired criminal justice instructor who taught at the Greater Southern Tier BOCES Coopers Plains campus for 12 years.
