Celebrating a brand-new facility that honors the achievements and contributions of ��Ӱֱ�� State alumni and friends, the college recently dedicated The Wilder and Linneball Hall of Excellence during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

��Ӱֱ�� State is pleased to announce that alumnus Alan R. Hunt will be presented with the Doctor of Humane Letters honorary degree during the college’s 110th commencement ceremonies taking place virtually on Saturday, May 8.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State Archery Team competed in the USA Archery East Region Outdoor Championships in Mt. Crawford, VA, this past weekend, netting an impressive seven medals.

Members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College, ��Ӱֱ�� University, and ��Ӱֱ�� village community came together virtually for the 10th annual Celebration of Service Ceremony to honor recipients of the Spirit of Service Award.  

Spring Into Action Day of Service, an annual community service event co-sponsored by ��Ӱֱ�� University’s Gary Horowitz Service Learning Program and ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Center for Civic Engagement, returned this year after a hiatus in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

“They were a great bunch of guys,” Valerie DuMond said. “Thank you, Lambda Tau Phi! We love you!”

��Ӱֱ�� State College recently celebrated the achievements of hundreds of students virtually during the 37th annual Honors Convocation, with Dr. Kristin Poppo, provost, presiding over the event, and SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor of English and Humanities Dr. Aniko Constantine serving as grand marshal.

“I have always looked at ��Ӱֱ�� as being the major foundation for my education and my confidence to succeed in the business world,” Walter said.

According to an article by Buffalo Business First, ��Ӱֱ�� State College alumnus Kyle Brent and his brother, Tyler, are embarking on a $12.6 million expansion of their business, Brent Industries.

Startup Allegany is proud to recognize the entrepreneurial-minded undergraduates from Houghton College, ��Ӱֱ�� State College, and ��Ӱֱ�� University who spent weeks preparing pitches that demonstrated their commitment to sustainability - finding solutions to today’s problems without compromising tomorrow’s resources.
