Former ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College basketball player Damian Hyman has signed a full scholarship to attend Voorhees College (Denmark, SC) beginning this fall.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College athletic director Kathy Feldman has appointed Anne Holmok as the college's women's soccer coach for the 2007 season.  Holmok begins her second stint as the Lady Pioneers head coach on August 13^th.

Members
of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College faculty and staff, their children and grandchildren
pulled out all the stops during this year's Great Wellsville Balloon Rally
parade.  As part of the College's
centennial celebration, a patriotic red-white-and-blue-themed float carried
members of the ASC Centennial Committee and others as they distributed in
excess of 70 pounds of candy as well as other give-a-ways, including A

Mary Lou Doyle, of Ithaca and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, has been named director of
Human Resources and Payroll at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  She began her duties during the spring
semester.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College
welcomed hundreds of students to campus this month for their initial
indoctrination to college life through its annual orientation program.

Lake," to be held Friday and Saturday, July
27-28.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC)
has signed articulation agreements with two local community colleges, Erie
(ECC) and Monroe (MCC), in order to facilitate the transfer process between the
community colleges and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥
State.  Both articulation agreements reside in the School of Management and Engineering Technology at
ASC.

Allegany County Treasurer Terri L. Ross,
Angelica, was appointed by former Gov. George
Pataki to serve on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College
Council.

Edward Tezak, SUNY (State
University of New York) Distinguished Service Profess of mechanical engineering
technology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College received the Frederick J. Berger Award from
the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) at a special awards
ceremony at the organization's annual conference and exposition in Honolulu in June

Emergency responder Matthew D. Heller, a State University of New
York (SUNY) police officer at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, recently completed
a weapons of mass destruction training course at the Center for
Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, AL.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State
College, is the author of an article appearing in the most recent issue
of The Serpentine Muse, a literary quarterly.  Titled "Conan Doyle and
the Sleeping Fiend"

Danielle Welch, admissions counselor, Office of Admissions at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥
State College, was recently elected to serve as the College of
Technology
representative for the SUNYCAP (State University of New York College
Admissions Professionals) Executive Board.
