÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team fell to Corning CC,  ranked #4 in NJCAA Division III, in their final road contest of the season.  The Lady Pioneers are now 12-22 (9-14 Region III Division III) after 10-6 and 10-2 defeats.

school districts (Allegany-Limestone, Bolivar-Richburg, Corning West High,
Hinsdale, Wayland-Cohocton, and Olean Middle School, and three home-schooled
students) were judged at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's 10th Annual Regional Science
and Technology Fair.

Smiles
were the order of the day recently when members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College
community turned out to plant five trees donated by Marcus Farms,
Arkport.

Students
wishing to acquire a four-year degree in business administration need look no
farther than ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  The State University of New York
(SUNY) and the State Education Department have approved a bachelor's degree in
business administration (BBA) to begin admitting students in fall 2009.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team will be the #3 seed in this weekend's Region III Division II Tournament.  The Pioneers will enter the double-elimination tournament to be played at Monroe CC with a 26-15 overall mark and a 7-5 record in RIII DII games.

An offense averaging 16 goals a game never could get going as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team saw their season come to an end following a 18-6 loss to #4 seed Monroe CC in a Region III Tournament opening round contest.  The Pioneers, ranked #9 in the NJCAA, finish their campaign with a 10-4 record.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team scored 28 runs and collected 30 hits in a doubleheader sweep, 17-8 and 11-1, of Finger Lakes CC in the team's regular season finale.  The Pioneers will head into this weekend's Region III Division II tournament as the #3 seed with a 26-15 overall record.

The offense never got going as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team fell 4-0 to Broome CC in a Region III Division III contest on Tuesday afternoon.  The Lady Pioneers are now 12-20 overall on the season and 9-12 in RIII DIII play.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's Schuyler Duross (Johnstown) won the Region III Decathlon championship with a strong performance the past two days.  Shawn McNeil (Hornell) finished 3rd in the heptathlon

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team will enter the Region III Tournament as the #5 seed.  The Pioneers wrapped up their regular season on Sunday with a 10-3 overall record and a 8-3 mark in Region III play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team wrapped up the regular season with a convincing 16-4 victory over Tompkins Cortland CC.  The Pioneers, ranked #10 in the latest NJCAA poll, will head into the postseason with a 10-3 record and a 8-3 mark in Region III play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team swept a pair from Onondaga CC, 7-6 and 9-5, to finish the week with a 5-3 record.  On the year, the Pioneers are now 24-15.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team played tough but couldn't defeat the #14 Tompkins Cortland CC in a Region III Division III doubleheader on Sunday.  The Lady Panthers earned identical 5-1 victories.

The #10 ranked ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team closed out the home portion of their season with a 21-11 victory over Jefferson CC on Saturday.  Ten different Pioneers found the back of net as the blue and gold scored their most goals of the season.

Rod Streater (Burlington, NJ) had a huge day as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track and field team competed at SUNY Geneseo on Saturday afternoon.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team saw leads in the 7th inning slip away in both halves of a WNYAC doubleheader with Erie CC.  The Lady Kats earned 8-7 (eight innings) and 6-4 victories.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team struggles in the field led to a doubleheader sweep at Genesee CC, 12-2 and 4-3, on Saturday to close out the Region III Division II regular season for both teams.  ASC is now 22-15 (7-5 RIII DII).

David Gross (Brockport) broke the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College outdoor track and field record in the shot put on Friday morning while competing at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA. 

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team scored 33 runs in a doubleheader sweep of Broome CC on Thursday afternoon.  The Pioneers improve to 22-13 on the season with 17-5 and 16-11 victories.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College and Jamestown CC split a pair of games in a WNYAC doubleheader on Thursday.  ASC fell 3-0 in the opener but bounced back for a 2-1 win in game two.  The Lady Pioneers are now 12-15 overall on the season and 9-6 in Region III Division III play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team fell behind early and never could recover as #1 Onondaga CC downed the Pioneers 28-7.  OCC finishes the regular season with a 11-0 mark while ASC is now 8-3 with two games remaining.

Summit to Plan Food Supply Chain from Western New York State to New York City

and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will bring New York City chefs and food purveyors together with local farmers and agricultural experts at an April 23 summit to plan a supply chain from western New York State farms to the New York City market.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State and Genesee CC split a Region III Division II doubleheader at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ on Tuesday afternoon.  The Pioneers were held to five hits and fell 8-0 in the opener but bounced back for a 2-1 victory in the nightcap. 

 The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team hung tough with the three-time NJCAA Division III champs, Monroe CC, but fell in both halves of a doubleheader on Tuesday.  MCC won by scores of 9-0 and 8-1.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team remains ranked #10 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Pioneers are now 8-2 overall on the season and 6-2 in Region III play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's track and field team moved up one spot and the women's team remained solid in the latest NJCAA Division III Poll.  The men are currently ranked 3rd while the women hold on to the #8 ranking.

State College Director of Student Activities and Orientation Spencer Peavey,

Lytle, were honored at a recent National Orientation Directors Association
(NODA) conference.

David Gross (Brockport) and Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) will represent ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College at this week's prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.  The duo will compete in the annual event that has taken place since 1895.

An
÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College graduating senior was named State University of New York
(SUNY) 2009 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence winner. Samuel Parent,
Gouverneur, was honored at a reception in Albany in April where he received a
commemorative certificate and a medallion suitable to be worn at commencement
and other special events.

Six ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥
State College students were recently inducted into the college's chapter of the
Psi Beta National Honor Society in psychology.
