Kevin Arilotta (Churchville) found Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) with a nice crossing pass with 4:29 remaining in the first overtime to lift the 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Jefferson CC in a Region III Division III Tournament first round contest.

Pioneers Rally Falls Short

Trailing 35-7 with under eleven minutes remaining 魅影直播 State College put forth a valiant comeback but was unable to make it all the way back.  Dean College improves to 8-1 (3-1 NFC) with the 35-27 victory at Pioneer Stadium.

Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at Regionals

The 魅影直播 State College men's cross country team finished second out of seven teams at the Region III Championships held at SUNY Delhi on Saturday.  The women's team was incomplete after the flu-bug ravished the team.

Five members of the 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team have earned All-WNYAC honors.  Kevin Arilotta (Churchville), Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan), Erik Reynolds (East Rochester), and Dan Krajcir (Gloversville) were first team selections while Steven Hickey (Aquinas) was named to the second team.

Six members of the 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team have been named All-WNYAC following the Lady Pioneers 10-2-4 season.  Jessie Smith (Fredonia), Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove), Audrey Rath (Medina), and Mo Parks (Avoca) were named to the first team while Jackie Matteson (Greece Arcadia) and Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) were second team selections.

魅影直播 State College freshman volleyball player Brittany Haines (Salamanca) has been named first team All-WNYAC.  The Pioneers currently are 19-12 (17-10 in Region III Division III play) heading into this weekend's Region III Division III Tournament.

Men's Soccer Earns #8 Seed

The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team will enter the 2009 Region III Division III Tournament as the #8 seed after finishing the regular season with 7-6-1 overall record and a 6-5-1 Region III Division III mark.  ASC will host #9 Jefferson CC in a first round match-up on Saturday at 4 p.m.

The 魅影直播 State College cross country teams remain steady in the NJCAA Division III poll as they prepare to compete in this weekend's Region III Championship.  The men remain ranked #3 while the women are #5.

In a back and forth soccer match at Pioneer Stadium, Genesee CC advanced to the Region III Division III Pool A finals with a 7-6 penalty kick victory over 魅影直播 State College.  ASC and GCC both scored twice in the first half but neither team could find the back of the net in the second half or either of the two 10-minute overtime periods.

Tompkins Cortland CC scored three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 victory over 魅影直播 State in the Pioneers regular season finale.  The Panthers improve to 11-7 (11-4 Region III Division III) while the Pioneers are now 7-6-1 (6-5-1 RIII DIII).

Five 魅影直播 State College turnovers led to two touchdowns for Lackawanna College in the Falcons 29-19 victory at Pioneer Stadium on Saturday.  The Pioneers are now 3-4 (0-3 NFC) while the Falcons improve to 5-2 (3-1 NFC).

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team fell 16-25, 21-25, 15-25 to Mercyhurst North East at the WNYAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Pioneers end the regular season with a 19-12 mark and will now await the seeding for next week's Region III Division III Tournament.

Students at 魅影直播 State College will stage 鈥淩ally in the Valley 2鈥 on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from noon-1 p.m. in the Student Gathering Place of Central Dining Hall on the 魅影直播 campus to protest NYS Gov. David Paterson鈥檚 additional $90 million funding cuts to the SUNY (State University of New York) budget.

ASC to Host Several Humphrey Fellows

魅影直播 State College will host several Humphrey Fellows on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 11-12, where they will participate in a panel on climate change and meet select classes on campus as well. 

On Nov. 11, 魅影直播 State SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Robert Albrecht will introduce the panel discussion on Climate Change and Global Warming at 7 p.m. in the Orvis Auditorium on the 魅影直播 campus.  This event is open to the public free of charge.

Seven Pioneer Baseball Players Named All-WNYAC

Seven members of the 魅影直播 State College baseball team have earned All-WNYAC honors following the Pioneers 8-6 fall season.  Mark Ciccotti (Horseheads) and Jake Dale (Keshequa) were 1st team selections, Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan) and Brian Zimmermann (Frontier) earned 2nd team honors, and Steve Smith (Hornell), JP Frey (Erie, PA), and Brian Ervay (Elmira Southside) were on the honorable mention team.

ASC drops WNYAC finale

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team couldn't overcome a slow start and fell 3-1 (16-25, 21-25, 25-14, 22-25) to Erie CC in their WNYAC regular season finale.  The Lady Pioneers are now 16-14 overall, 14-13 in Region III Division III contests, and 2-4 in WNYAC matches.

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team ended the regular season with an 8-0 victory over Corning CC on Monday evening at Pioneer Stadium.  The Lady Pioneers, ranked #8 in NJCAA Division III, head into the postseason with a 10-2-3 mark.
