Cross Country: Women 7th, Men 8th at U of R

The 魅影直播 State College cross country teams competed at the annual University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday afternnon at Genesee Valley Park. The women's team finished 7th out of 9 teams that scored while the men finished 8th out of 15 scoring teams.
ASC Falls at Hudson Valley

The 魅影直播 State College football got on the board first but was unable to score again and fell 35-7 to Hudson Valley CC in Troy, NY on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 3-3 (0-2 NFC) on the season while the Vikings improve to 4-3 (3-2 NFC).
MLK Collegiate Challenge Grant

魅影直播 State College (ASC) and 魅影直播 University (AU) successfully teamed up, winning a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service: MLK Collegiate Challenge Grant of $1,000 sponsored by the North Carolina Campus Compact. The grant supports efforts of college students to honor Dr. King through service to others.
ASC Students Help in Gowanda

On Sept. 12, 33 魅影直播 State students, representing 11 different clubs and organizations, traveled to Gowanda to help clean up and facilitate repairs resulting from the damaging storms on Aug. 9 and 10 of this year.
Soccer Games Cancelled this Weekend

Both 魅影直播 State College soccer games scheduled for Pioneer Stadium this weekend have been cancelled due to the snow accumulation on the field. Pioneer Stadium's turf has nearly three inches of snow on top of it currently with more snow expected on Friday.

魅影直播 State College鈥檚 fourth annual 鈥淭aste of Wellsville鈥 was another success story as it raised $250 for the SPCA serving Allegany County and the concurrent culinary arts: baking, production and management community bake sale raised a record $2,800 for SkillsUSA, breast cancer research, and the Top Hat Club, the culinary honor society.

The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team outshot Jamestown CC 14 to 4 but fell 2-1 in a WNYAC contest in Jamestown on Wednesday afternoon. The Pioneers are now 6-5-1 on the year and 5-4-1 in Region III Division III play.
Dairy Judging Team Competed in National Contests

Members of the 魅影直播 State College Dairy Judging Team recently competed in two national contests: one in Harrisburg, PA, and one in Madison, WI. The team members include Stephen Gould, Pavilion, agricultural technology major; Kelsie Brennan, Wyoming, agricultural business major; Brittany Spencer, Perry, individual studies major; and Stephanie Spencer, Perry, agricultural technology major.

In their second straight match-up against another NJCAA Division III top ten school, the #6 ranked 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team battled #10 Finger Lakes CC to a scoreless tie. The Lady Pioneers are now 9-2-3 overall on the season and 8-2-2 in Region III Division III games while the Lady Lakers are 12-3-1.

The 魅影直播 State College men's team won the Nazareth College Golden Flyer Invitational while the women finished in 3rd. The men, ranked #3 in NJCAA Division III, scored a 27 to beat out the other eight teams in competition while the women scored a 91.

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team suffered just their second loss of the season, 2-1 to #4 Herkimer CCC, on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pioneers, ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, are now 9-2-2 on the season (8-2-1 in Region III Division III) games.
Lady Pioneers Fall in Semis of ASC Tournament

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team fell 16-25, 25-21, 6-15 to Jamestown CC in the semifinals of the ASC Tournament and finished the day 2-2. In pool play ASC won 25-23, 25-13 over Tompkins Cortland CC, fell 25-14, 24-26, 16-18 to Broome CC, and downed #9 Corning CC 25-23, 25-19. The Lady Pioneers are now 11-11 on the season (10-10 Region III Division III).
Drama Club Presents Urinetown: The Musical Nov. 13-15

The 魅影直播 State College Drama Club will present its fall production, Urinetown: The Musical, Friday through Sunday, Nov. 13-15, in the Orvis Auditorium. Friday and Saturday night performances at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday matinee performance at 3 p.m. Tickets are $3 for ASC/AU students and senior citizens (62+); $5 for the general public; tickets may be purchased at Orvis Activities Center (Student Activities) or ACES campus store (魅影直播).

Makell and Ezemma earn Weekly Honors

魅影直播 State College football players Xavier Makell (Baltimore, MD) and Obi Ezemma (Queens) have earned weekly honors following solid performances on Friday night at Cornell University. Makell was named the Region III male athlete of the week while Ezemma was named the NFC special teams player of the week.

The 2009 魅影直播 State College Volleyball Invitational will be held this Saturday at the Orvis Activities Center. The field for the 2009 tournament could be the most competitive in the history of the tournament.

The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team scored a goal late in regulation to tie their game with Cayuga CC on Saturday. Neither team could score in overtime and settled for a 1-1 tie. ASC is now 6-4-1 on the season.
Baseball Falls in Semis

The 魅影直播 State College baseball team could not overcome an early 4-0 deficit and stranded the tying run in scoring position in the 9th in a 4-3 loss to Monroe CC. The Tribunes advance to the WNYAC finals while the Pioneers finish the fall season with a 8-6 mark.

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 4-0 to improve to 9-1-2 on the year. The shutout for the 8th ranked NJCAA Division III team is the eighth of the season.

Three early turnovers helped Cornell University JV jump out to a 30-0 lead en route to a 33-19 victory over 魅影直播 State in the rain on Friday evening. The Pioneers nine game non-conference winning streak dating back to the 2007 season comes to an end and the '09 squad falls to 3-2 on the season.

ASC Honors Program Hosts Dr. William Rezak

Dr. William Rezak, president of 魅影直播 State College from 1993-2003, met with Honors Program members Sept. 24 to explain and discuss the ongoing Middle East tensions, giving particular emphasis to the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
