Nowadays, there are more frequent marked shifts in students鈥 attitudes and values. The millennial generation is comprised of more than 10 distinctly different sub-populations of students. New sub-populations can emerge as quickly as every 18 months!鈥

Spencer Peavey, 魅影直播 State College director of Student Activities and Orientation, recently presented at the National Orientation DirectorsAssociation (NODA) conference on 鈥淓xpecting More Out of Your Orientation Program: A Great Way to Incorporate Service into Your Orientation Program.鈥 Peavey, who developed New Student Service Day four years ago, reviewed the program paired with academic and retention information.

Anderson Named to AASCU Committee

Anderson, president, 魅影直播 State College, has been named to the AASCU (American Association of State Colleges and Universities) Committee on Economic and Work Force Development (CEWD), whose mission is to help AASCU institutions enhance the scope and visibility of economic and work force development efforts in partnership with their communities and regions.

The 魅影直播 State College men's basketball team downed Rockland CC 66-53 to claim the ASC Tournament title. The Pioneers are now 11-1 in the six years of the ASC Tournament and even their 2009-10 record to 5-5.
Genesee Claims ASC Tournament Crown

Genesee CC's led 40-35 at half and was able to use a press to increase their lead en route to a 83-71 victory over 魅影直播 State in the championship game of the 2009 ASC Tournament. The Lady Pioneers fall to 6-3 on the year.
Men finish 2nd, Women 3rd at HCCC Swim Invite

The 魅影直播 State College men's swimming team finished 2nd while the women finished 5th at the Herkimer CCC Fall Invitational. The men scored 184 points and trailed only the hosts while the women scored 111.
Late Run Lift Pioneers past FMCC

The 魅影直播 State College men's basketball team used a 10-0 run to break a 55-55 tie en route to a 72-66 victory over Fulton Montgomery CC in the opening round of the ASC Tournament. The Pioneers improve to 4-5 on the year and will take on Rockland CC tomorrow in the championship game.

Trailing 38-26 at half, the 魅影直播 State College women's basketball team rallied and had an opportunity to win the game in the final seconds but fell 73-71 to Cuyahoga (OH) CC. The Lady Pioneers are now 5-2 on the season.
Twenty-five Inducted Into Phi Theta Kappa

魅影直播 State College sophomore women's basketball player Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) has been named the Region III female athlete of the week. Brooks helped the Lady Pioneers to a 3-0 week and a 4-1 start.

The 魅影直播 State College football team revenged an early season loss at Erie CC with a 21-15 victory over the Kats to close out the 2009 season. The Pioneers who received a forfeit victory earlier in the week finish their campaign with a 5-5 record while the Kats finish 4-6.

Gary Moore has been named the NJCAA Division III men's cross country coach of the year following 魅影直播 State's 2nd place finish at the National Championships. Moore was chosen for the award by his fellow coaches.

John Sweeney (Barker) earned first team, Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) and Carey Crooker (Addison) earned second team, and Joe Seitz (Williamsville North) was third team.
