÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team fell 22-25, 25-11, 18-25, 20-25 to Genesee CC in their WNYAC opener. The Lady Pioneers are now 4-2 on the year while the Lady Cougars are 5-8.

Sophomore volleyball player Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) has been named both the Region III and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State athlete of the week. Pfleghardt helped the Lady Pioneers to a 4-1 record and a runner-up finish at the annual ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Invitational this past weekend.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's cross country team is ranked 5th in the first NJCAA Division III poll released today. The Lady Pioneers are the defending NJCAA DIII National Champions and open up the regular season this weekend at the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Invitational.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State cross country team finished a busy preseason this weekend with the running of the annual alumni race. The cross country program welcomed back 18 former runners to campus in the event.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Alum Rod Streater has made the Oakland Raiders 53-man opening day roster. Streater had an impressive preseason and is currently listed 3rd on the depth chart.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team opened up Region III Division III play with a 2-0 shutout victory at Tompkins Cortland CC. The Lady Pioneers outshot the Lady Panthers 20 to 6 on the day to improve to 1-1 on the season.

Dave Broedel scored with 1:23 remaining in the 1st overtime to lift Mohawk Valley CC to a 2-1 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in day two action at the East-West Showdown. The Hawks improve to 4-0 on the year while the Pioneers are now 1-2.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team opened up their 2012 season with an impressive day at the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Invitational. The hosts won their first four matches but fell in the tournament final to Butler CCC 25-17, 25-23.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's soccer team downed SUNY Delhi 3-1 in their 2012 home opener. The game was part of the East-West Showdown.
