Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies Celebrate Transformation

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State recently celebrated two historic ribbon-cutting events during its annual Homecoming Weekend. Both ceremonies marked the completion of sizeable construction projects that are among the largest the college has seen since the 1960s.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's soccer team scored five goals in the 2nd half to break a 1-1 tie en route to a 6-1 victory over Roberts Wesleyan JV as they closed out the regular season portion of their schedule. The Pioneers are now-5-8-3 on the year.

Ten different Lady Pioneers recorded points as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team defeated Roberts Wesleyan JV 8-0 as the college celebrated Homecoming 2012. The blue & gold now have won 15 straight games and are 15-1 on the year.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State football team put together a solid comeback attempt in the 2nd half but could not overcome an 27-3 halftime deficit in a 27-17 loss to Globe Institute of Technology. ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ is now 3-2 on the year while Globe is 4-2.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team won two of three at the Tompkins Cortland CC Pod on Saturday. The blue & gold are now 23-11 overall and finish Region III Division III regular season with a 14-4 record.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State cross country teams both finished 11th at the DeSales Invitional on Saturday. The men's team scored 313 points while the women scored 321.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team will turn in their normal blue jersey's to wear pink on Tuesday, Oct. 16th when they take on Erie CC. The Dig Pink event is part of a nationwide fundraiser for the Side-Out Foundation.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a convincing 25-12, 25-8, 25-16 victory over Mercyhurst North East in a WNYAC match-up on Tuesday. The Lady Pioneers are now 21-10 overall on the season and 2-3 in WNYAC matches.

In a battle of two of the top teams in NJCAA Division III, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State erased an early deficit to earn a 2-1 victory over #2 ranked Finger Lakes CC on Tuesday afternoon. The #4 Lady Pioneers have now won 13-straight contests and are 13-1 on the year and 12-0 in Region III Division III play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team fell in the quarterfinals of the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament held at Onondaga CC. The Pioneers split a pair of preliminary games in the morning but lost a tough 2-1 decision to Herkimer CCC in the tournament quarterfinals.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball team split their opening two matches at the Cara Bryant Memorial Tournament at Onondaga CC on Friday evening. The Pioneers defeated SUNY Delhi 25-16, 25-17 but fell to Jamestown CC 25-18, 25-16. The Lady Pioneers have two more preliminary games slated for Saturday before tournament playoffs.
