The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 66-60 victory over Elmira JV on Thursday evening. The Pioneers are now 7-11 on the season.

Karley Fanning (Bishop Kearney) scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team downed Genesee CC 81-35 in a Region III Division II contest.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 11-6 overall and 3-1 in RIII DII play.

Travis Harvey (÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Almond) led the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State wrestling contingent at the Mt. Union Purple Raider Open on Sunday.  Harvey and the Pioneers were one of 21 teams that competed in the non-scoring event.

Monroe CC earned their 12th straight victory 93-51 over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State on Saturday evening. The Lady Tribunes are now 13-4 on the year while the Lady Pioneers are 10-6.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's basketball team struggled to get things started and fell 75-55 to Erie CC in a WNYAC match-up. The #13 ranked Kats are now 12-3, 3-0 on the season while the Pioneers are 6-9, 0-3.

Erie CC jumped out to a 14-2 lead and held a 32-18 halftime lead but had to hold off a valiant comeback attempt by ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in a 61-53 victory.  The Lady Kats improve to 12-4, 3-0 Region III Division II while the Lady Pioneers are 10-5, 2-1.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State swimming team traveled to Wells College open up the 2013 portion of their schedule. The men fell 56-31 to the Express while the women were downed 81-3.

Four Thunderwolves scored in double-figures as Niagara CCC defeated ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State 88-55 in a WNYAC match-up.  NCCC improves to 11-5 overall and 2-0 while ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ falls to 6-8 and 0-2.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team erased a 1st half deficit and defeated Niagara CCC 60-49 to register their 10th victory of the season.  The Lady Pioneers are 10-4 on the year and 2-0 in Region III Division II play.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's basketball team hung tough with #4 Herkimer CCC but fell 66-55 in the first round of the HCCC Tournament. The Pioneers are now 5-7 on the year and will take on Northampton CC in the consolation game on Sunday at Noon.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State wrestling teams battled tough but fell twice as they opened up 2013 at the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Duals. They opened the day with a 27-24 loss to Penn College of Technology and then fell 42-16 to Bergen (NJ) CC.

Mercyhurst North East used a 24 to 5 run in the 2nd half to break open a tight contest en route to a 81-68 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in the WNYAC opener for both teams.  MNE is now 7-7 (1-0 WNYAC) on the year while ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ is 5-6 (0-1 WNYAC).

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team opened up 2013 and WNYAC play with a 58-47 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 9-4 (1-0 WNYAC) while the Lady Saints are now 8-4 (0-1 WNYAC).

These leaders will present on innovations related to sustainable agriculture/food systems, renewable energy and energy efficiency, green construction, and more.

Four Lady Pioneer Soccer Players Honored by the NSCAA

Four members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's soccer team have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in their end of the year awards. Kali Muhleisen (÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Almond), was named 1st team All-American while Krista DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip), and Maura Tuffey (Albany/Holy Names) were named 2nd team. The trio along with Hannah Holmok (÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Almond) were also named All-Northeast Region as well.
