Speed Schwartz’s winning film, “Iterations,” is described as an “abstract iterative loop with changing timeframes,” in which shapes and lines overlap and affect each other across three different loops.

Recognized at the college’s employee recognition banquet were: Garth Grantier, Jeffrey Wilcox, Kent Johnson, Danielle Green, and Larry Fox. Each received a certificate and a monetary gift.

The 2017 accounting graduate placed sixth in the nation in Open Reining at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship in Lexington, KY.

John Sallome Sr., who has no plans to retire anytime soon, said his son joining the family heating and cooling business is "a dream come true."

A celebrated slate of speakers is coming to ��Ӱֱ�� State for the 2017 New York State STEM Summer Institute.

��Ӱֱ�� State celebrated the achievements of hundreds of students during the 33^rd annual Honors Convocation, with Dr. Kristin Poppo, provost, presiding over the event, and SUNY Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and Physics Lawrence E. Burns serving as grand marshal.

This year, there were a total of 24 award recipients who were selected for initiatives surrounding civic engagement, culturally inclusive programs, performing arts, Greek life, student engagement, and more.

Members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State Honors Program recently enjoyed a rare sunny afternoon at the Wellsville campus by examining the college’s fleet of hybrid and electric automobiles.

Graduates received their pins, lit their Florence Nightingale candles, and took The Nightingale Pledge, vowing to devote themselves to the welfare of those committed to their care. 

The intended partnership between the two schools would involve ��Ӱֱ�� State students constructing the majority of the house, Finley said, while AU students implement the engineering design aspects.

��Ӱֱ�� State recognized approximately 700 May 2017 graduates during commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 14. Dr. Skip Sullivan, president, presided over the event, held on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.

For many years, Evelyn Turner has been a strong supporter and friend of ��Ӱֱ�� State, particularly when it comes to the college’s Culinary Arts Department.

��Ӱֱ�� State recently installed five students in the Zeta V Chapter of the Sigma Lambda Chi honor society. 

More than two dozen ��Ӱֱ�� State students and employees were initiated recently into the college’s chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.

Throughout the academic year, students spend countless hours utilizing their talents and knowledge to create some amazing projects, a number of which were on display recently for all to see during the annual Student Showcase.

For the second consecutive year, the ��Ӱֱ�� State Basic Utility Vehicle (BUV) Team earned a first-place finish in the annual intercollegiate BUV Design Competition in Batavia, OH. 

Looking to wipe out improperly discarded bottles and cans on campus, ��Ӱֱ�� State has now made available a reverse vending machine to students, employees, and community members alike.

With nearly a hundred courses available online, ��Ӱֱ�� State’s summer session offers everything from the history of western civilization to a class for leaders of the future. Online classes begin on May 22, June 12, or June 26 and some include concentrated studies for completion as fast as three weeks.

While Val Nixon oversees administration, advancement, enrollment, and finances for ��Ӱֱ�� State’s two campuses, she remains committed to helping students figure out their own finances for college, and recently won a statewide award for her dedication. The State University of New York Financial Aid Professionals (SUNYFAP) honored Nixon with the 2017 Daniel Sistarenik Advocacy Award.

Retired ��Ӱֱ�� State Associate Professor of Biology Dr. Steven Jakobi has published a new book on Amazon's CreateSpace platform.

This year’s Hog Wild Day celebration on ��Ӱֱ�� State’s School of Applied Technology campus was definitely one to remember.

Cody Young also gave students advice on becoming drafters and welders. The 2014 ��Ӱֱ�� State College graduate recommended students do what he did: attend a local college with a good drafting or welding program.
