The symposium was attended by approximately 300 ��Ӱֱ�� State students, some of whom served as panelists, while others in the audience asked questions of the guest speaker, Kevin Schuler.

Betsy Penrose, vice president of Enrollment Management, said, “The Title III Strengthening Institutions funding will help us build upon the strong student success foundation at ��Ӱֱ�� State. We plan to expand academic advising, improve student onboarding, and increase the college’s endowment to support students in the future."

��Ӱֱ�� State architecture students will unveil their vision for a revitalized downtown Bolivar at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 at the Bolivar-Richburg High School gym.

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is ranked in the top 10 in the nation among all US schools offering three majors within the arts and sciences.

The free concert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 in the Cappadonia Auditorium in the Orvis Activities Center. Come and enjoy some family-friendly Halloween and spooky songs performed by ��Ӱֱ�� State’s choral group, Voices, and the college’s Rock Band.

“These trips broaden the horizons of our students. For some, this is their first opportunity to see the world beyond their home,” said Jones.

For the new project Ross created, 15 guests from different age groups were invited to come to the nursing facilities on campus to be examined by students.

While the weather may not have been ideal for some of the festivities, ��Ӱֱ�� State Pioneers and their families still had a great time during this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend.

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is delighted to announce that it has received a $2.1 million grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation in support of two new in-demand academic associate degree programs. 

��Ӱֱ�� State student Riko Hayano, an interdisciplinary studies major from Osaka, Japan, recently led a campaign to shed some light on the subject of “catcalling” women and to advocate for change and respect.

��Ӱֱ�� State College will host an Oktoberfest dinner from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus.

Patanella, a mechanical engineering technology major from Churchville, secured first place after earning a huge score of 430 in the two-round, 40-target format using Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) rules.

Barber became a faculty member in 1975 and would hold a number of positions at the college over the years, including associate professor, assistant vice president, and dean of the School of Management and Engineering Technology.

��Ӱֱ�� State Building Trades Instructor Stephen Cady was recently interviewed for a story appearing on the Buffalo TV news station WKBW.

Tisch chatted with students and met with members of the President’s Council.

The purpose of the project, Jones said, is to determine if shipping containers can be repurposed into high-efficiency housing or office units, and also to provide students with a new form of applied learning.
