��Ӱֱ�� State College recently welcomed six new faculty and staff members to its Division of Academic Affairs.

��Ӱֱ�� State nursing alumna Donna Bliven is retiring after 44 years of employment at Jones Memorial Hospital.

��Ӱֱ�� State will continue to conduct saliva-based pool testing as it begins to test 100 percent of students, faculty, and staff on a weekly basis.

Provost Dr. Kristin Poppo said, “��Ӱֱ�� State College makes an extraordinary effort to help every student succeed. President Dr. Skip Sullivan said, “��Ӱֱ�� State is deeply saddened by the loss of Jon Shay, who has long been a strong supporter of our college. In Jon’s honor, we are lowering the college flag at half-staff for the rest of the week."

For those who have the means to do so, Healy said, it’s important to give back, “especially with all the other things that are going on in the world right now.”

Jessica Longwell, a 2015 ��Ӱֱ�� State nursing graduate, was recently recognized as an extraordinary nurse by The DAISY Foundation. 

“Every one of you should be proud of all that we’ve accomplished,” Sullivan said. “Was it easy? Heck no. Did we have to change course and make adjustments? Repeatedly and often. Did we learn from it and are we better prepared for the future because of it? Why yes. We are educators and that’s what we do to expand knowledge and grow.”

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is proud to announce that Curlicia Smith, a digital media and animation major from Bronx, is among the 45 students in SUNY’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) who have recently been honored with the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

ACCORD is pleased to announce that it will host food distributions on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Feb. 17 at ��Ӱֱ�� State’s Wellsville Campus at 2350 River Road in Wellsville at approximately 3 p.m. 

��Ӱֱ�� State’s 2019 variable data Viewbook cover was honored with a Judges’ Citation in the “Cover” category in the 2020 SUNYCUAD Awards for Excellence.

Kurt Zeltwanger, a 2017 ��Ӱֱ�� State nursing graduate, was recently honored with the 2020 DAISY Award.

��Ӱֱ�� State engineering science alumnus Walter Jakubowski recently earned the Juror’s Award for his abstract photograph currently on display at a show in Rochester.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s dynamic and immersive new video wall in the Student Leadership Center (SLC) was recently highlighted in “Robex,” a construction industry magazine.
