The Educational Foundation of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥, Inc. contributes to student success at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College through many different forms of support, including providing much-need scholarship assistance.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) is pleased to announce that it has received a $50,000 grant from the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation. This grant will benefit ASC’s heavy equipment operations program, as well as the college’s Doc Bruce Fundraising Campaign that aims to bolster the construction management program.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College announced today that it has earned the 2021-2022 Military Friendly® School designation. 

Current and prospective ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State students will have the chance to interact with some amazing leaders in business during the college’s upcoming Students of Color Leadership Conference set for 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 on Zoom.

Some quick thinking and swift action by five ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students recently led to the rescue of a man from the icy waters of the Genesee River in Wellsville.

West Clarksville artist Eric Jones recently created a 4-foot-by-8-foot sculpture of the college’s mascot, Big Blue the Ox. 

As COVID-19 continues to present challenges to holding in-person events, particularly with large gatherings of people, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College is announcing that it will honor graduates this year through hosting a virtual commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 8.

In recognition of outstanding achievement in the consistent production of high-quality milk, the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Farm recently received a Special Gold Certificate Award from the Dairy Farmers of America (DFA).

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Archery Coach Dr. Gregory Sammons has recently graduated from USA Archery’s 2020 Club Excellence Program.

A group of P-TECH BEGREEN Building Trades students at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) were recently highlighted in a Buffalo City School District department newsletter.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College is currently hosting a P-Fit program to help recruits prepare for this year’s Police Academy.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State architectural technology alumnus Matthew Buchholz recently earned his certification in Construction Documents Technology (CDT).

Since the 2010-2011 academic year, the Foundation has provided $5,500 annually to the college’s peer tutoring program. As a result, the program has fulfilled more than 1,361 student requests over the last nine years, providing more than 8,967 hours of support.

Financial expert and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College faculty member Matthew Burr recently spoke with Elmira TV news station WETM 18 about student loan debt, as well as his new book on how to pay off this debt to gain financial freedom.
