“Every one of you should be proud of all that we’ve accomplished,” Sullivan said. “Was it easy? Heck no. Did we have to change course and make adjustments? Repeatedly and often. Did we learn from it and are we better prepared for the future because of it? Why yes. We are educators and that’s what we do to expand knowledge and grow.”

��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is proud to announce that Curlicia Smith, a digital media and animation major from Bronx, is among the 45 students in SUNY’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) who have recently been honored with the Norman R. McConney, Jr. Award for Student Excellence.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s 2019 variable data Viewbook cover was honored with a Judges’ Citation in the “Cover” category in the 2020 SUNYCUAD Awards for Excellence.

Thanks to their generosity, the college was able to open The Shay Family Athletic Hall of Fame, the new home for the 88 individuals and 10 teams that have been honored in the past.

As 2020 comes to a close, ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) is taking a look back at some of its biggest stories from the year.

Every year, the University Police Department (UPD) at ��Ӱֱ�� State College does its part to make spirits a little brighter during the holiday season.

Provost Dr. Kristin Poppo said, “��Ӱֱ�� State is incredibly thankful for the Garman Foundation’s ongoing support of our students and our trades programs. This grant will allow us to renovate the space that housed our carpentry lab into a state-of-the-art, senior HVAC laboratory that will serve 40 students, thereby doubling our capacity for students.”

Applied learning is at the heart of an ��Ӱֱ�� State College (ASC) education, with students gaining the knowledge and skills they need to succeed through hands-on, real-world projects. A terrific example of this is the college’s autobody wreck/rebuild program.

The couple’s endowment fund helps building trades, automotive trades, and heavy equipment students at the Wellsville campus further their education.
