÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State educators Dr. Mark Whitman and Wayne Bensley recently shared a wealth of knowledge about the forensics and criminal justice fields with area high school students during Haverling High School’s Investigation and Forensics Career Panel.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College is excited to announce that it will soon launch the first four-year agriculture program in the school’s history.

Participating districts included Addison, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥-Almond, Archbishop Walsh STCS, Bolivar-Richburg, Cassadaga Valley, Friendship, Hinsdale, Hornell, Houghton Academy, Lima Christian School, Portville, Prattsburgh, and St. Ann’s Academy.

Students within ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College’s various health-focused programs were able to meet with many employers recently during a nursing and medical-related career fair. 

Classes for this unique new associate degree program, titled agricultural automation and robotics, will begin in the fall 2019. Students in this major, the only one of its kind in the US, will receive hands-on experience with automated milking equipment, as well as class work in both agriculture and engineering.

Several ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students and employees recently attended the 91^st annual National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, IN, where they set up a recruiting booth and spoke with numerous students about the benefits of an ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State education.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (ASC) recently had two of its programs - veterinary technology and health information technology (HIT) – ranked in the top 10 in the nation. In addition, several ranking sites have rated the college highly when comparing all US schools offering these and other programs within the School of Arts and Sciences.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently hosted 350 Future Farmers of America students from 21 western New York high schools for the 32^nd annual Agriculture Skills Contest.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently honored Daniel Woolston, assistant director of Health and Wellness Services, and Jessica Lippa, assistant professor of Nursing, with the Leadership through Civic Engagement Award.

During the scholarship award presentation at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State, the students were presented with Forty & Eight emblem training pins.
