Blue and Gold finish as Regional Runner-Up

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's outdoor track and field team finished as the Region III runner-up at this weekend's Region III Championships held at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State.  The Pioneers scored 160 points and finished 35.5 points behind Region III Champion SUNY Cobleskill.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's outdoor track and field team finished 5th at the Region III Championships held at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College this weekend.  The Lady Pioneers scored 92 points during the two day event.

Pioneers season comes to end after heartbreaking loss

Monroe CC scored two runs in the bottom of the 9th to erase a one-run deficit and win 8-7 over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in a Region III Division II Tournament contest.  With the loss the Pioneers season comes to an end with a 23-15-1 record while the Tribunes are one win from the Regional title.

Lady Pioneers fall at Herkimer

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team had its chances in game two of a doubleheader at Herkimer CCC but were unable to captiatlize and fell 4-2 after dropping the opener 11-4.  The Lady Pioneers are now 8-28 on the year heading into their season finale on Sunday afternoon.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track and field team had three individual event winners in day one action at the Region III Championships.  The men's team is currently sitting in 1st place out of the seven teams while the women are in 4th.

Saints Rally to Down A-State

The Mercyhurst North East baseball team scored three runs in the top of the 9th inning to rally for a 4-3 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State in a Region III Division II Tournament contest.  The Pioneers fall to 23-14-1 on the year and will now face a must win contest versus #1 seed Monroe CC on Saturday afternoon beginning at Noon.

WNY Counselor Tour Program

WNY Counselors÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College recently hosted 40 school counselors as part of the annual Western New York Counselor Tour Program, under the auspices of the WNY Consortium of Higher Education, where participants spend three days visiting various regional college campuses to become better acquainted with campus programs and facilities, as well as receive updates on the latest upgrades and curriculums.

Honors Convocation Held at ASC

Stage Party for Honors÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College student academic achievement was celebrated April 26 during the 24th annual Honors Convocation.  ASC President Dr. John M. Anderson welcomed the gathered students, families, faculty, and friends and congratulated them on their achievements.

Tomm & Tyrell÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College honored more than 250 students for their academic success and honored distinguished faculty members for excellence and commitment at its annual Honors Convocation.  Chosen this year for the Freshman Advocate of the Year Award, presented at the ceremony, and sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs, was Debra Tomm, of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ Station, a keyboard specialist in the Department of Social and Behavioral Science

Corning downs A-State

Corning CC got strong pitching performances as they held ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State to just one hit in a Region III softball doubleheader sweep, 11-0 & 9-0, on Thursday afternoon.  CCC improves to 21-8 overall and 19-5 in Region III Division III contests while the Lady Pioneers fall to 8-26.
