Cross Country Heads into Nationals Ranked #3 and #4

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country team will enter the NJCAA Division III Championship race this Saturday at the CC of Rhode Island with a top four ranking on both the men's and women's side.  The men are ranked #3 in the final poll of the regular season while the women are 4th.

Covert Named Special Teams Player of the Week

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College kicker Kyle Covert (Wayland Cohocton) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week following the Pioneers 63-20 victory over the Niagara X-Men on Saturday.

Three Lady Pioneers Named Volleyball All-Region

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) was named NJCAA Region III Division III Volleyball Player of the Year, while sophomore Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) and freshman Breanna Horton (Owego Free Academy) were both named All-Region.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team opened up their 2008-09 campaign at the University of Buffalo Open on Sunday.  Eight Pioneers competed in the non team scoring tournament that featured Division I schools, Ohio State, Edinboro, Rutgers, Duquesne, and Binghamton.

Three Men's Soccer Players Earn All-Region

The men's soccer All-Region Division III team was recently announced and three Pioneers were named to the team.  Freshman defender Jason Durst (Gates-Chili) was named first team while sophomore defender Hiroshi Ozaki (Tokyo, Japan) and freshman midfielder Caleb Drake (Jasper-Troupsburg) were named to the second team.

Lady Pioneers Make it Back to Back Championships

Region III Champions - VolleyballIt took 30 years for the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball program to return to the NJCAA National Championships but with a highly competitive victory over Jamestown CC (30-28, 25-22, 25-13), the Lady Pioneers will return to Rochester, MN for the second straight season.  ASC will enter the tournament with a 36-3 mark.

Soccer Falls in Finals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team had a terrific season come to an end on Sunday in a 5-0 loss to Herkimer CCC, #1 seeded and #2 ranked in Division III of the NJCAA, in the Region III Division III Championship game.  The Pioneers, #2 seeded and #5 ranked, finish the most successful campaign since the late 1980's with a 14-4 mark.

Rockland rallies to down Pioneers

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team led most of the way but Rockland CC rallied to tie the game in the second half and went on for a 78-73 victory in day two action at the Monroe CC Classic.  The Hawks improve to 1-1 while the Pioneers are 0-2.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's basketball team fell 74-63 to Delaware Tech in their 2008-09 season opener at the Monroe CC Classic on Saturday. 

Swimming Dives Into New Season

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College swimming team began the 2008-09 season by competing at the Geneseo Invitational.  Both the men's and women's team finished 5th in the competition that featured SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Brockport, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ University, and Monroe CC.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College football team racked up 600 yards of offense (392 yards rushing and 221 yards passing) as they downed the Niagara X-Men 63-20 in their final non-conference game of the season.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 4-4 overall on the season

Men's Soccer Wins, Advances to Finals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer team advanced to the Region III Division III finals with a 1-0 victory over #3 SUNY Delhi.  The Pioneers, ranked #5 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, improve to 14-3 on the season and will take on the #1 seeded Herkimer CCC in the finals on Sunday

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team swept Corning CC 25-11, 25-10, 25-8 in the Region III Division III quarterfinals on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers will take on #5 Mohawk Valley CC in the semifinals on Sunday.
