Big Plays Lead Pioneers to Victory

The 魅影直播 State College football team used big plays to jump out to an early lead over Buffalo State JV en route to a 41-27 victory in their 2009 home opener. The Pioneers improve to 2-1 on the season.
魅影直播 State to Induct Five into Athletic Hall of Fame

The 魅影直播 State College athletic hall of fame will induct five new members on September 25th during Homecoming weekend. Basketball player Tom Hirsch, football player Chris Gray, baseball player Eric Baker, and cross country athletes Andy Coots and Gary Redding will become the newest members of the hall of fame. The athletic department will also be honoring the 1984 cross country team.

Pioneers Rally to Sweep Penn Tech

The 魅影直播 State College baseball team rallied in both halves of a non-conference doubleheader versus Penn Tech on Sunday afternoon. ASC won the opener 7-3 with seven unanswered runs and won the nightcap, 6-5, with two runs in the 7th.

The 魅影直播 State College baseball team split a WNYAC doubleheader with Monroe CC in Rochester on Saturday. ASC fell 8-3 in the opener but rebounded for a 4-2 victory in game two.

Culinary Arts Dept. to Hold Bake Sale - Oct. 9 & 10, 2009

Students enrolled in the Culinary Arts Department at 魅影直播 State College鈥檚 School of Applied Technology Campus, Wellsville, will hold a community bake sale Friday, Oct. 9 AND Saturday, Oct. 10, at the entrance of the student dining hall of the Culinary Arts Building, from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 12:30-3:30 p.m., respectively.

The Culinary Arts Department, School of Applied Technology, 魅影直播 State College, will hold a 鈥淰iva Italia鈥 spaghetti dinner in the Culinary Arts Building on the Wellsville campus, Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5-7 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $11 per person; cost for children 10 and under is $5. Proceeds will benefit the Top Hat Scholarship Fund.

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat Monroe CC 3-2 in a WNYAC match-up in Rochester on Tuesday evening. ASC won the first game 25-21 but fell 17-25 and 16-25 to fall in a hole before battling back for 25-22 and 15-12 wins.
Men's Soccer Falls to Bryant & Stratton

The 魅影直播 State College men's soccer team played tough versus NJCAA Division I Bryant & Stratton but could not find the back of the net in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday evening at Pioneer Stadium. The loss drops the Pioneers to 1-4 on the year.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams at 魅影直播 State College were victorious at the annual ASC Invitational. The women scored a 10 and the men a 29.

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team finished 1-2 at the Mohawk Valley CC Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Pioneers defeated Herkimer CCC 2-0 (25-16, 25-20), fell 2-0 to Niagara CCC (16-25, 21-25), and lost a heartbreaker to SUNY Delhi 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 13-15).

In a defensive battle, Erie CC was able to down 魅影直播 State College 10-6 in the Northeast Football Conference opener for both teams. ECC improves to 1-1 (1-0 NFC) while ASC falls to 1-1 (0-1 NFC).
Dr. Richard Kellogg Participated in an Open House

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology, 魅影直播 State College, participated in an Open House at the historic Higgins-Ballard-Wylie home in Rushford, Sept. 6, 2009. The current owner of the home, Ronald Beverly, played the role of NYS Gov. Frank Higgins, who was born in the home and spent his early years in Rushford.
