The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball teams four-game series versus Jamestown CC has been moved to Bolivar Richburg High School this weekend.  On Saturday and Sunday first pitches of each doubleheader will be thrown at 1 p.m.

Playing for the first time in three weeks, the ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team opened up Region III Division III play by sweeping Corning CC, 7-4 and 13-0, at Tuller Field.

However, not only did they attend the Career Fair, but volunteered their time the night before to assist students in preparing for the Fair and their upcoming careers.(27 other companies attended as well.) The recruiters interviewed several ASC students the following day on campus and followed up with them for interviews and company tours at their Baldwinsville location.

The Higher Educational Advertising Awards is the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,500 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries.

��Ӱֱ�� State College studying abroad in Sorrento, Italy, participated in the oikos Spring Meeting 2011 Sustainable Architecture: Space for Living, in Prague, Czech Republic.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College lacrosse team was held scoreless in the 4th quarter and saw their 5-4 lead evaporate in a 8-5 loss to Cayuga CC.  The Spartans are now 3-4 on the year while the Pioneers are 0-6.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College outdoor track & field team continues to be near the top of the latest NJCAA Division III poll. The women climbed up one spot to #2 while the men continue to hold on to the #3 ranking.

Dr. Stephen J. Havlovic, vice president for academic affairs at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, has co-authored an article that has appeared in the Journal of Health Organization and Management.

Starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, in Allegany Room of the Central Dining Hall, the event will spotlight Dr. John O. Hunter, ��Ӱֱ�� State College president emeritus, speaking about his new book Reading Yeats and Striving to Be a College President.

Information tables and representatives from The Learning Center will be present.

More than 900 students from Region I BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education and Services) districts encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier, competed in the 21st annual SkillsUSA-Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics, (formerly VICA--Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) held in March at ��Ӱֱ�� State College.

Playing for the first time in over two weeks, the ��Ӱֱ�� State College softball team scored 34 in a doubleheader sweep over Erie CC.  With the 19-9 and 15-7 victories the Lady Pioneers are now 3-7 overall and 2-2 in Region III Division III contests.

Three more ��Ӱֱ�� State College track and field athletes qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships with strong performances at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational.

SUNY Delhi outscored ��Ӱֱ�� State 10-1 in the second and third quarters en route to a 16-8 victory in the Pioneers home opener.  Delhi is now 2-4 on the season while ASC falls to 0-5.

Eighty science and technology projects were on display for judging and public viewing. Participants were divided into senior (grades 10-12), junior (grades 7-9), and novice grade categories.

Thirty-eight students representing seven regional high schools recently participated in the third annual ��Ӱֱ�� State Technology Challenge on the ��Ӱֱ�� State campus.

While there, three ��Ӱֱ�� State representatives competed in the annual Skid Steer Rodeo held onsite. The rodeo is a skills competition which tests an individual’s ability as he/she operates through an obstacle course with agility, accuracy and the best time, in this case, operating a skid steer, so named because of its means of locomotion.

��Ӱֱ�� State College's Health Information Technology program has been notified that a 2011 graduate and a clinical preceptor have been honored with achievement awards.

The annual ��Ӱֱ�� State College charity basketball game will be held on Wednesday, April 6th in the Orvis Activities Center.  Tip-off between Kappa Sigma Epsilon brothers and the ASC Noon-Timers is at 7 p.m.

For the second year in a row Mick Caba and the ��Ӱֱ�� State College football team will host a bone marrow drive in support of the Be the Match Registry.  This year's event will take place on Wednesday April 6th between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Student Gathering Place in Central Dining Hall.

Gregory Sammons, Chief of University Police at ��Ӱֱ�� State College, met with members of the college’s Honors Program March 30 to address the question “in New York State, do you have the legal right to defend yourself and your home?”
