Women's Soccer Suffers OT Setback

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team gave Division I Monroe CC all they could handle in a back and forth WNYAC contest on Thursday. The Tribunes scored the lone goal of the contest with one minute remaining in the first overtime to escape with a 1-0 lead to improve to 11-4-1 on the season.

The Orvis Activities Center was "pinked out" as the 魅影直播 State College volleyball team defeated Finger Lakes CC 25-17, 25-15, 17-25, 25-19. The Lady Pioneers are now 19-12 on the season.

My hat is off to the seven students who volunteered their mini-break to help others in need. It shows me these guys have more than what it takes to succeed in their journey in life. Yes, a college education is so important. However, to be able to grasp the concept of giving back is an added bonus to the college experience.

Finger Lakes CC scored a 2nd half goal as they defeated 魅影直播 State 1-0 in a showdown of NJCAA Division III top ten teams. The #2 ranked Lady Lakers are now 15-0-1 while the #8 Lady Pioneers are now 11-3 on the year.

Volleyball Team to host Dig Pink event

For the second year in a row and the third time in the past four years, the 魅影直播 State College will be hosting a Dig Pink event. All proceeds of Dig Pink events nationwide benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing compassionate support to breast cancer patients and their families.

魅影直播 State rushed for 452 yards as they defeated 魅影直播 University JV 51-35 in the first ever in season match-up between the two schools. The Pioneers improve to 3-2 on the year while AU JV falls to 1-4.
Volleyball Reaches Quarterfinals of OCC Tournament

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Onondaga CC Cara Bryant Tournament but were unable to solve Jamestown CC. ASC finished the tournament with a 3-2 record and is now 17-12 on the year.

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team won their fourth straight and recorded their ninth shutout in a 2-0 road victory over Herkimer CCC. The Lady Pioneers, ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA DIII poll, are now 11-2 overall and 10-2 in Region III Division III play.

In a preview of the NJCAA Division III National Championship course, the 魅影直播 State College women's cross country team finished 18th out of 40 teams while the men finished 21st out of 33 teams at the James Earely Invitational hosted by Westfield (MA) State College.

鈥淯nderstanding the Marcellus Shale,鈥 a lecture by Dr. Katherine Klingensmith, professor of biology and environmental science at Keuka College, is the second event in the New Horizons Forum fall series. It will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 in room 215 of the Engineering Technology Building on the ASC campus from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is open to the public.

The 魅影直播 State College volleyball team won two of their three matches at the SUNY Delhi pod. ASC opened up the day by dropping a five-game match to Delhi (25-23, 18-25, 25-21, 17-25, 12-15) but rebounded for a 3-1 victory over Mohawk Valley CC (25-21, 23-25, 25-21, 25-11) and a 3-0 win over Herkimer CCC (25-23, 25-10, 25-20).

The #8 ranked 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 4-0 to record their eighth shutout of the season. ASC is now 9-2 on the season and have alllowed just three goals on the year.
