Two Pioneers Place at Fall Brawl

Two members of the 魅影直播 State College wrestling team placed at the Usinus College Fall Brawl on Saturday. Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) was 2nd at 149 lbs. and James Barlow (Wayland Cohocton) was 5th 141.

The 魅影直播 State College men's basketball team used a strong 2nd half to defeat SUNY Orange 77-68. The Pioneers are now 3-3 on the season.

Big Second Half Propels CCBC

After a cold shooting first half, the CC of Beaver County shot 58.1% in the second half and were able to expand on their one-point halftime lead en route to a 81-65 victory. The Pioneers fall to 2-3 on the season.
Wrestlers Drop WNYAC Opener

The 魅影直播 State College wrestling team led 15-13 heading into the final three matches of their WNYAC opener vs. Jamestown CC but the Jayhawks swept the final matches to earn a 29-15 victory.

Every year the 魅影直播 State College football coaching staff preaches to its players the importance of setting goals. Heading into the 2011 season, head coach Mick Caba knew this could be the year the team accomplished one of the program's goals of winning the Region III Championship.

The 魅影直播 State College wrestling team has switched their schedule for this coming weekend. Instead of heading to Michigan for the Muskegon Open the Pioneers will head to Ursinus College for their annual Fall Brawl.

Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) connected on a three-pointer with seven seconds remaining to give 魅影直播 State a 65-64 lead en route to a 67-64 victory over Cayuga CC. The Lady Pioneers are now 4-0 on the season.

Cayuga CC broke a 67-67 tie in the final seconds to spoil the 魅影直播 State comeback en route to a 70-67 victory on Tuesday night. ASC is now 2-2 on the year.

The 魅影直播 State College women's soccer team has landed four players on the 2011 All-Region team. Jenna Lynn (York) was named 1st team while Holli Pierce (Livonia), Maura Tuffey (Albany/The Academy of the Holy Names), and Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) were named 2nd team.

The 魅影直播 State College Western Equestrian Club Team won the grand championship at its first Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) show of the 2011 season (Oct. 22). The newly formed team tied with Cornell for top honors in the intercollegiate riding event held at 魅影直播 University鈥檚 Bromley-Daggett Equestrian Center.

The 魅影直播 State College women's basketball team won a hard fought battle 74-71 over SUNY Delhi in the finals of the Delhi Tournament. The win improves the Lady Pioneers to 3-0 on the young season.

The 魅影直播 State College men's swimming team finished 2nd at the Genesee CC Harvest Invitational while the women finished 5th. The men scored 290.5 points on the day and trailed only GCC's 302.5 while the women accumulated 62 points.

The 魅影直播 State College women's cross country raced to the NJCAA Division III National Championship on Saturday in Westfield, MA. The national championship is the second in the progams history and first since 2003.

Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) opened up his season an impressive fashion by winning the 149 lb. weight class title at the Ithaca Invitational. Peet helped the Pioneers to a 9th place finish and 50 points in the two-day competition.

ASME and SME Hosted Cardboard Boat Competition

The 魅影直播 State College student chapters of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineering (SME) recently hosted a cardboard boat competition. Competition rules required each boat to be constructed entirely of cardboard and held together by no more than one roll of duct tape.

The 魅影直播 State College swimming team dove into the new season with an impressive start in a double-dual meet. The men defeated Mercyhurst North East 77-14 and Genesee CC 60-35 while the women defeated Mercyhurst North East 30-11 but fell 48-18 to Genesee CC.
