The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team wrapped up the 2012 NJCAA National Championships in 12th place.  The Pioneers scored 230 points in the four-day national event held at Indian River State College in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Saturday's season opening lacrosse game at Herkimer CCC has been moved back a day due to the snow and cold weather in the region.  The Pioneers and Generals will now play at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday in the season opener for both teams.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team remains in 11th place after the third day of competition at the NJCAA National Championships. The Pioneers have 164 points heading into the final day of events on Saturday.

SUNY Distinguished Teaching Professor Honors Program members on a tour of the city of Astrakhan, in southern Russia, on March 8, without ever leaving ��Ӱֱ��.

Spencer Peavey, director of Student Activities and Orientation at ��Ӱֱ�� State, presented “Making IT Happen, Encouraging Student Connections and Civic Engagement” to the attendees of the National Orientation Directors Association in Burlington, VT. Peavey highlighted the steps that ��Ӱֱ�� State has taken to incorporate leadership through Civic Engagement in its Orientation and transition programs.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team has earned 105 points after two days at the NJCAA National Championships.  The 105 poiints puts the Pioneers in 11th out of 14 teams that have earned points.

��Ӱֱ�� State athletic director and former Springfield College coach Daryl Arroyo will be inducted into the National Wrestling Coaches Association DIII Hall of Fame this weekend at a ceremony in conjunction with the 2012 DIII National Championships in LaCrosse, WI.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team began competition at the 2012 NJCAA National Championships with a 10th place finish in the 400 medley relay and a 12th place finish in the 800 free relay

��Ӱֱ�� State sophomore basketball Pat Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) has been named 1st team All-Region following a successful campaign.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team took home the top two honors at the Region III Division II Tournament. Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) was named the RIII DII Player of the Year and Gina Boyd was named the Coach of the Year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball team struggled to get the offense going and fell to Keystone (PA) College JV in their 2012 spring season opener.  The Giants won the opener 11-0 and the nightcap 8-3.

��Ӱֱ�� State sophomore Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) earned a 5th place finish at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships at Eastern Illinois.  Travis Nagle (Randolph) finished 9th in the two-day heptathlon competition.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team could never get the offense going and fell 58-49 to Jamestown CC in the Region III Division II semifinals.  The 49 points tied the team's season low.

Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) and Travis Nagle (Randolph) began competition at the 2012 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Eastern Illinois University on Friday.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's basketball team participated in the ��Ӱֱ�� Almond Central School Move and Groove Night on Thursday evening. The Pioneers ran 70 students through a variety of basketball drills.
