��Ӱֱ�� State soccer players Mitchell Porter (��Ӱֱ�� Almond), Kyle Jones (Wilson), and Nick Peraino (Geneseo) have been named All-WNYAC following the 2012 season. The Pioneers finished the year 5-8-3.

Wrestler Dan Ognibene (Alexander) and football player Alonzo Joyner (Queens) have been named the ��Ӱֱ�� State athletes of the week.

��Ӱֱ�� State will host the annual ��Ӱֱ�� State Tournament this weekend. The Pioneer men will welcome Fulton Montgomery, Monroe College JV, and Rockland CC to the Orvis Activities Center while FMCC and Westchester CC will compete on the women's side.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team made it four straight with a 69-58 victory over SUNY Orange on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pioneers are now 4-0 on the year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State cross country team had a strong showing at the NJCAA Division III National Championships on Saturday at SUNY Delhi. The Lady Pioneers finished 3rd in the nation while the men finished tied for 5th. Athletes from 28 colleges competed in the event.

Special teams and turnovers played a huge part as ��Ӱֱ�� State defeated Hudson Valley CC 30-24 to close out the 2012 season. The win improves the Pioneers to 5-4 and secures the program's eighth .500 or better season during Head Coach Mick Caba's tenure.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State wrestling team finished 12th out of 15 teams at the Ursinus College Fall Brawl on Saturday.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's basketball team suffered an 80-66 setback to SUNY Orange as they played their first road game of 2012. The Pioneers are now 1-1 on the year.

International Week, Nov. 11-16, kicks off on Sunday, Nov. 11 when a group of visiting Humphrey Fellows from Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Ethiopia, and Lesotho will be on campus for a discussion on “Life in Africa Now”.

The schedule for Saturday's (11/10) ��Ӱֱ�� State basketball doubleheader at SUNY Orange has been flipped. The men's game will now tip off a 1 p.m. while the women will play at 3 p.m.

Seven members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State women's soccer team have been named to the All-WNYAC team. The Lady Pioneers finished the 2012 season with a 17-2 mark and jumped all the way to the #1 ranking in the NJCAA DIII Poll.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State wrestling team defeated Jamestown CC 25-20 in their season opening WNYAC match.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's swimming team split a WNYAC double-dual on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers fell 48-46 to Genesee CC but defeated Mercyhurst North East 58-17. The women's team fell 44-16 to Genesee and 45-14 to Mercyhurst North East.

��Ӱֱ�� State closes out the 2012 season with a battle vs. Region III rival Hudson Valley CC.  Kickoff is at Noon at Pioneer Stadium.

��Ӱֱ�� State’s New Horizons Forum is hosting “Mongolian Families: Modern Nomadic Life”, a presentation by Dr. Lou Ann Woolman on Monday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the School of Engineering Technology (SET) building, Room 215. A reception will be held before the presentation at 6 p.m. in the SET gallery outside Room 215.

Five members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State cross country team ran to All-Region honors during the Region III Championships. Jedadiah Platt (Barker) earned 1st team honors while Jordan Rusek (Williamsville East), Kim Lupo (Auburn), Claire Holleran (Penfield), and Katy Monahan (Warsaw) all raced to 2nd team honors.

Karley Fanning (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) and Collin Frazier (Woodbridge, VA) have been named the Region III athletes of the week and the ��Ӱֱ�� State athletes of the week.

Destiny Brito (Manhattan/Park West) hit a three-pointer with under two minutes left that broke a tie and helped lead the ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team to a 64-59 victory over host SUNY Delhi in the championship game of the Delhi Tournament. The Pioneers improve to 3-0 on the year.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State swimming team dove into the 2012-13 season at the Genesee CC Harvest Invitational. The men's team 3rd while the women finished 4th.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State wrestling team opened up the 2012-13 season competing at the competitive Ithaca Invitational over the weekend. The Pioneers finished 9th in the two-day competition.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State football team raced out to a big lead and defeated the Onondaga Ogres FC 34-20 to even their record at 4-4 and snap a three-game losing streak.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's basketball team breezed by Sullivan County CC 61-30 to advance to the SUNY Delhi Tournament finals. The Lady Pioneers are now 2-0 on the year.

Neil Benedict, associate vice president of student life at ��Ӱֱ�� State, met with members of the college’s Honors Program on Oct. 29. As Hurricane Sandy pummeled the campus, Benedict walked the students through his 32 years at the college working in a variety of positions.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's basketball team opened up their 2012-13 season with a 55-45 victory over Broome CC. The Pioneers used a strong first half to build a 32-18 lead and held off the Hornets rally in the 2nd half.

��Ӱֱ�� State takes on the Onondaga Ogres FC on Saturday with kickoff slated for 1 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.

��Ӱֱ�� State has received the Sustainability Tracking Assessment & Rating System (STARS) Bronze Rating for its sustainability achievements.
