The ��Ӱֱ�� State Drama Club will be performing this hit November 21-23 at 7 p.m. and November 24 at 2 p.m. in the Cappadonia Auditorium in the Orvis Activities Center. Tickets are $7 for general admission and $2 for students, and will be available at the door or can be reserved in advance by calling 607-587-4079.

The book is a collection of poems—each with its own voice and emotional quality—all sharing the same sense of poignancy. “What happens to us when things are lost?” Mitchell asks. “The impetus came from me asking myself that question—how do people deal with different kinds of loss?”

Students in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s School of Applied Technology built the home, which will be on display during Wellsville’s annual on Oct. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Jeremy Speed Schwartz, assistant professor of Digital Media & Animation, will be delivering a talk as part of , an independently organized TED event, on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 11:24 a.m. at Canisius College’s Montante Cultural Center. Professor Speed Schwartz will be discussing experiments and collaborations in science and art. ��Ӱֱ�� State will also be broadcasting the event live on its own campus in the Student Leadership Center’s small event space.

The Department of Architecture and Design is proud to announce “Architecture is a noun,” an upcoming lecture by Tod Williams of Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects on Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. in room 215 of the Engineering Technology Building on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.

The show will exhibit for the month of October in the Hinkle Memorial Library gallery.

The film will be shown October 21 at 6:30 p.m. on the ��Ӱֱ�� State campus in the Engineering Technology Building room 215 and at ��Ӱֱ�� University’s Nevins Theater on October 22 at 6:30 p.m.

The Educational Foundation of ��Ӱֱ��, Inc., a private foundation representing faculty, staff, and friends of ��Ӱֱ�� State, welcomed a new board member earlier this year, Patrick Barry of Wellsville.

��Ӱֱ�� State President Emeritus William Rezak met with members of the college’s Honors Program on September 25 in the new Student Leadership Center to discuss the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

More than 25 people from local industries, area governance, and regional colleges recently gathered in ��Ӱֱ�� State’s brand-new Student Leadership Center to discuss one of the most potentially game-changing initiatives of the year—START-UP NY—a statewide program intended to attract new investors and entrepreneurs to New York with the promise of operating tax free for 10 years.

Dr. Nicholas L. Waddy, associate professor of History at ��Ӱֱ�� State, has published his first novel, Jewel of the East, which is described as “a moving, masterful work of historical fiction, full of vivid characters, intense action, exotic settings, heartwarming romance, and wry humor.”

��Ӱֱ�� State’s Lake Lodge.The workshop will explore “Current Trends in Substance Abuse” with an emphasis on the resurgence of heroin use as well as synthetic marijuana and bath salts.

Dedicated to challenging the status quo in order to support the college’s focus on the environment, this fall, the dining team at ��Ӱֱ�� State introduced two new processes that will positively impact the campus’s footprint—incorporating technologies like compostable packaging and reusable takeout containers.
