Seven ��Ӱֱ�� State students will represent the college at the National SkillsUSA Championship in Atlanta, GA.  The competition takes place June 24-28.

“With interdisciplinary studies I can pick classes of different interests that I have. My main interests are in psychology and sociology. It is like I am making my own career, making my own degree.”

Lynda Merring, George Merry, Julie Rose, and Erin Vitale were honored for earning SUNY Chancellor Awards at the annual ��Ӱֱ�� State Employee Recognition Celebration.

“The Power Wagon gets so much attention. We hope to move from Kentucky to Maine with minimal problems. The students this year focused on getting the truck back together. We really built it to make it reliable. It has to drive 2,300 miles all the way up the east coast.”

“The competition was both challenging and exciting. We were tasked with trying to figure out a farm's biggest areas of improvement and make a presentation the next day to a panel of judges, which required a lot of brainstorming, creativity, and teamwork. Working with students from other colleges was a unique experience. It was fascinating to see the different perspectives and skills each person brought to the team.”
