÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

Eddie Sparks (Horseheads) earned a 10th place finish in the pole vault as he competed at the 2010 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships held at Eastern Illinois University.

After day three of the NJCAA Swimming National Championships the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swim team sits in 12th while the women are 15th.  The championships being held at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL conclude on Saturday.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swim team remained in 11th place after day two of the NJCAA Naitonal Championships while the women are in 13th place.  The men now have 32 points while the women have 2 points.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore wrestlers Eric Shedden (Canton, PA) and TJ Nelson (Somers) have been named All-Region and All-WNYAC.  Shedden and Nelson helped the Pioneers to a 5th place finish at the Northeast Districts.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore guard Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) has been named 1st team All-Region.  Wilson led the Pioneers to a 12-18 mark and the #4 seed in the Region III Division II Tournament.  Rasean Parris (Brooklyn/Benjamin Banneker) joined Wilson on the All-WNYAC team.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomores Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) and Shawna McNeil (Hornell) have been named to the Region III Division II All-Region team.  Brooks was a 1st team selection while McNeil was a 2nd team selection.

Five members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College indoor track & field team have earned All-Region honors based on their performances at the Region III Championships.  Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East), Bridget McMahon (Avoca), Pete Francia (Greece Olympia), John Sweeney (Barker), and Eddie Sparks (Horseheads) earned the honor.

Sophomore swimmers Ashley Andrus (Cuba Rushford) and Cory Roberts (Marcus Whitman) have been named All-Region based on strong performances at the Northeast Districts.

Five members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College wrestling team traveled to Des Moines, IA and competed in the NJCAA National Championships over the weekend.  The Pioneers were one of 39 teams competing in the event.

Erie CC used a strong second half to advance to the Region III Division II Tournament semfinals with a 76-61 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State.  The Kats will take on Jamestown CC on Saturday while the Lady Pioneers finish the campaign with a 11-16 record.
