Outdoor Track & Field Athletes Garner Numerous Awards

Numerous members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College outdoor track & field teams have garnered post season accolades based on their performances at the Region III Championships and the NJCAA Division III Championships.  The men finished 2nd at Regionals and 4th at Nationals while the women finished 4th at Regionals and 7th at Nationals.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Preparing for Summer Sports Festival

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College athletic department is preparing to host the Summer Sports Festival.  The summer sports festival consists of the Day Camp, in its 28th year, and the Learn-to-Swim Program, in its 41st year.

Six Pioneers Named All-Region in Baseball

Six members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team have been honored by being selected to the All-Region team.  Adalberto Vargas (Norman Thomas) and Kyle Binder (Hornell) were named to the 1st team while Andrew Foster (Mississauga, ONT), Jake Dale (Keshequa), Karl Kofmel (Ottawa, ONT), and Kenny O'Brien (Norwalk, CT) were 2nd team selections.

Five Lacrosse Players honored by the Region

Five members of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team have earned All-Region honors following the Pioneers 10-4 season.  Josh Mateo (Waterloo) and Mitch Mertel (Churchville) were second team selections while Ryan Grogan (Churchville), Ryan Speciale (Corning West), and Marshall Merritt (Marcellus) were named honorable mention.

Toyodome and Jerome Sign Letter of Intents

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball players Yurika Toyodome (Tokyo, Japan) and Jenni Jerome (Syracuse/Westhill) have signed letter of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the four-year level.  Toyodome will be attending Davenport University (Grand Rapids, MI) and Jerome will be attending Glenville State (Glenville, WV).

Pioneers Wrap Up Nationals in 4th and 7th place

The 2009 NJCAA Division III Track and Field Championships came to a close on Saturday at a gusty Pioneer Stadium.  The Pioneer men finished 4th overall with 101 points while the women were 7th with 53 points

Pioneers Remain in 1st, Women in 7th after Day Two of Track Nationals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's track & field team remains in first place after day two of the NJCAA Division III National Championships.  The men, 78 points, lead Harper College by 10 points heading into the final day of competition.  The Lady Pioneers have earned 23 points good for seventh place in the standings.           

Pioneer Men Lead After Day One of Nationals, Women 8th

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's track and field team leads after day one of the 2009 NJCAA Division III National Championships held at Pioneer Stadium.  The Pioneers scored 52 first day points and lead 2nd place Harper College (IL) by 13 points.  On the women's side, the Lady Pioneers have earned 7th points.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Ready to Host Track National Championships

Beginning on Wednesday athletes representing twenty-five NJCAA institutions will travel to ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College to participate in the 2009 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.  The event will feature nearly 350 participants vying for both individual and team honors.
