÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College punter Jeff Glomb (Buffalo/St. Francis) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week.  Glomb is the second straight Pioneer to be honored by the NFC.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College cross country teams are both in the NJCAA Division III top ten.  The men are rankd 3rd while the women are tied for 7th.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College were victorious at the annual ASC Invitational.  The women scored a 10 and the men a 29.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's soccer was able to get the offense going and downed Jefferson CC 2-0 to register their first victory of the 2009 season.  ASC is now 1-3 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team finished 1-2 at the Mohawk Valley CC Tournament on Saturday.  The Lady Pioneers defeated Herkimer CCC 2-0 (25-16, 25-20), fell 2-0 to Niagara CCC (16-25, 21-25), and lost a heartbreaker to SUNY Delhi 2-1 (22-25, 25-19, 13-15).

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College and Jefferson CC battled 110 minutes with neither team able to find the back of the net.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-0-1 on the season and have yet to allow a goal.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team dropped a pair of 1-0 decisions at Niagara CCC this afternoon. NCCC scored the winning run in the 6th in the opener and in the 7th in the nightcap.

In a defensive battle, Erie CC was able to down ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College 10-6 in the Northeast Football Conference opener for both teams.  ECC improves to 1-1 (1-0 NFC) while ASC falls to 1-1 (0-1 NFC).

Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) recorded her second straight game-winning goal as the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College women's soccer team blanked SUNY Delhi 1-0 to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

Finger Lakes CC's Ryan Phillips capitalized a great corner kick with 6:19 left in regulation to lift the Lakers to a 1-0 victory over ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State at Pioneer Stadium on Thursday afternoon.  FLCC improves to 3-2-2 on the season while ASC falls to 0-3.
