÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball inched closer to .500 with a doubleheader sweep of Lehigh Carbon CC on Saturday afternoon.  The Pioneers battled high winds all day as the won the opener 12-2 and the nightcap 5-2 in eight innings.  ASC is now 8-9 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team outscored SUNY Delhi 7-2 in both the first and third quarter en route to a 20-11 victory.  The win propels the Pioneers to 4-1 and drops the Broncos to 5-1.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team got back on the winning track with a doubleheader sweep of Corning CC on Thursday.  ASC won the opener 8-1 and the nightcap 6-2.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team opened up the home portion of their season with a convincing 20-2 victory over Genesee CC.  The Pioneers improve to 3-1 on the season while the Cougars even up their record at 2-2.

This weekend's scheduled track and field meet at the University of Rochester has been cancelled.  ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State was scheduled to compete on Saturday but the meet was moved to Sunday and cancelled this morning.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team scored 17 runs and collected 21 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Elmira College JV, 6-0 and 11-1, to open up the home portion of their schedule.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 4-7 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's outdoor track and field team is ranked #1 in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the 2009 season.  The women are currently ranked #3.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team jumped out to early leads in both halves of a doubleheader at Lackawanna College but the Falcons rallied for victories in both games, 9-8 and 9-5.  The Pioneers fall to 4-9 on the season.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College lacrosse team hung tough with #2 ranked Herkimer CCC on Saturday trailing by just three at half, 11-8, but was unable to close the deficit and fell 20-14 to the Generals.  ASC concludes their three-game season opening road trip with a 2-1 mark while HCCC improves to 4-1.

Both the men's and women's ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College track and field teams finished on top of the ASC Quad Meet held Friday afternoon.  The men scored 186.5 points while the women scored 138 points.
