Lady Pioneers Fall in Extra Innings

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team lost an extra inning affair 7-6 to Rochester (MN) CTC in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Lady Pioneers scored a run in the top of the 8th to take a 6-5 lead but the Hornets scored two runs in the bottom half of the inning with two outs to win the contest.

Pioneers Down Cumberland, Fall to Riverland

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team downed Cumberland (NJ) County College 9-1 but fell to Riverland (MN) CC 7-6 as they continue their week long trip in Cocoa, FL. The Pioneeers are now 3-4 on the year.

Lady Pioneer Softball Falls in Wild Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College softball team opened up the 2009 season with a wild contest versus WNYAC foe Genesee CC in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Lady Pioneers fell behind 6-2 early and couldn't rally all the way back and fell 10-9.

Pioneers Split Four in Florida

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team split four games as they continue their southern trip in Cocoa Expo. The Pioneers defeated Miami (OH) Middletown 17-8 and Jamestown CC 12-4 but fell 5-4 to Milwaukee (WI) Area Tech and 5-2 to UCONN Avery Point.

Pioneer Baseball Falls in Opener

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College baseball team fell 4-2 to Lafleche Academy (Quebec) in their 2009 opener played at Cocoa Expo in Cocoa, FL. The Dragons broke a 2-2 tie with single runs in the 5th and 6th inning.

Reynolds Named All-American

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Dan Reynolds earned 1st team All-American status by winning the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University. Reynolds becomes just the second Pioneer during Coach Gary Moore's tenure to win an indoor title (Damien Rodriquez - 1997 in the pole vault).

Pioneer Swimmers Finish 7th

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team finished the four-day NJCAA National Championship in 7th place. The blue and gold racked up 193 points. Indian River (FL) CC continued their dominance in the pool by repeating as national champion.

Reynolds Wins National Championship, Gross finishes 4th

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College sophomore Dan Reynolds won the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University. Freshman David Gross (Brockport) also scored points for the Pioneers with a 4th place finish in the shot put.

Pioneer Swimmers 7th at Nationals

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College men's swimming team sits in 7th place after the first two days of competition at the NJCAA National Championships. The Pioneers picked up 72 points after the first two days.

Foley, Brannen, and Wilson Named All-Region

Dan Foley (Irondequoit), Travis Brannen (Elmira Free), and Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) were recently named to the All-Region III Division II team. The trio helped the Pioneers to a 17-14 mark and a trip to the regional final four.
