÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State swimming team dove into the 2012-13 season at the Genesee CC Harvest Invitational. The men's team 3rd while the women finished 4th.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State wrestling team opened up the 2012-13 season competing at the competitive Ithaca Invitational over the weekend. The Pioneers finished 9th in the two-day competition.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State football team raced out to a big lead and defeated the Onondaga Ogres FC 34-20 to even their record at 4-4 and snap a three-game losing streak.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team breezed by Sullivan County CC 61-30 to advance to the SUNY Delhi Tournament finals. The Lady Pioneers are now 2-0 on the year.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State men's basketball team opened up their 2012-13 season with a 55-45 victory over Broome CC. The Pioneers used a strong first half to build a 32-18 lead and held off the Hornets rally in the 2nd half.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State women's basketball team opened up the 2012-13 season with a 57-43 victory over Broome CC.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State takes on the Onondaga Ogres FC on Saturday with kickoff slated for 1 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State Football coach Mick Caba is part of the 2012 NJCAA Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame Class. Caba, in his 13th season at the helm of the Pioneer football program is joined in the class by Terrence Cody (defensive linemen from Mississippi Gulf Coast CC) and the 1983 Coffeyville CC football team.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State volleyball players Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) and Lera Braun (Waterloo) have been named All-Region following the Lady Pioneers 27-15 season. Pfleghardt was a 1st team selection while Braun was named 2nd team.

Cross country runners Kim Lupo (Auburn) and Jedadiah Platt (Barker) have been named the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State athletes of the week by the SID office. Lupo and Platt were the top ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ finishers at the Region III Championships.
